Only thing good about today's show is we didn't have a skunking nor double overbid.
1. 5 pricetags too bad she didn't say true for every price like i would and won
2. Range game nice win by 4 dollars  :-D and the only win of the day
3. clock game normally i find wipeouts hilarious this one wasn't as hilarious the 5th total one in drew era.
4.Pick a # i woulda lost too an evil setup
5. Let em roll so close but no cigar
6. Shopping spree too bad he picked the least expensive prize.

Showcases: one of the people overbid good thing melissa didn't or we'd have double overbid.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

A whole bunch of blah today. The showcases certainly did not help.

Very nice lineup to start the week off with. Five Price Tags is a great way to start and Shopping Spree last is a rare treat and the middle of the lineup was pretty good as well with Range, Clock and Roll in the 5 hole.

Melissa's playing of Clock Game was pitiful to say the least.

P-A-N was hard! That was a crapshoot to say the least.

That was one cheap computer offered in Shopping Spree today.  :P

Was this the first time in the show's history where a showcase did not use the big doors at all or used the Race Game Curtain?

I was thinking, would a Line em Up-like reveal for Clock Game work better than what they are doing now?  The two smaller prizes can be in door #2 or door #3 and the bonus prize in the other door, and the prize package value is revealed at the end a la Safe Crackers or 2 For the Price of 1.

Let me just say, I wasn't that thrilled with how today's Clock Game playing went...when Drew said "lower" to $850, and she jumped up to $875, I knew the game was lost.  And then when she went "eight...athousand" I was glad Drew stopped the clock to double check.

Pitiful!!!

Range Game:  Another exciting win! :-)
Clock Game:  Horrible playing :-(, but I liked Melissa's wig.

Not too good a start to the week, IMHO.

It only works if the bonus prize is big enough to warrant a separate reveal.  Imagine today's prize assortment...first you have a skee-ball game, and some helmets.....and then.....a new......scooter!   kinda anti-climactic, eh?

The first showcase was different.  But I don't mind it so much.  i wouldn't want to see it every day, but it somewhat impressive to have the stage filled with prizes.

Wow...this show was actually good.  It felt like The Price Is Right.  Drew was really on top of his game for once.

The Flat Stanley thing was kind of neat once Drew explained why it was happening.  I just wish he didn't do off-the-wall things so often that this one looked at first like it would be yet another in a long line of them.

Five Price Tags was a total Roger setup -- three "trues," one "false," and all the fakes higher than the actual retail price both numerically and literally.

I was really glad Drew didn't stop the clock when Melissa got confused during Clock Game.  That's exactly how the game is supposed to work -- you get confused, you've got to fix it yourself.

Incidentally, I was amused that Drew did that stupid thing with his voice when Melissa got really close to the price, and she completely ignored it.

Still speaking of Clock Game, it was neat to (kind of) see Super Ball!! show up again.

I loved Drew's remark after Peggy one-upped Thomas.  It sounded like something Barker would have said.

Yet another two-prize combo in a one-prize game.  Blah.

Let 'em Roll's groceries were actually set up correctly!

Shopping Spree sixth was a cool surprise.  I wish Drew would stop spelling out the finer points of the game, though...the whole point of having the "shopping spree" format is so people don't realize how little there is to it.

The showcases were surprisingly good, even if one of them was a two-prize showcase.  The scripts wouldn't need much tweaking to make them completely normal.

I guess there really isn't a way to improve Clock Game's prize reveal.  But I do wonder if it would be a good idea to have the prize package amount revealed at the end.

Today was fun. It's my hope that Drew stops giving hints in Clock Game.

Lately the lighting has been weird. Some spots are too washed out; the light doesn't seem to be diffused. It's pretty harsh looking.

Today's showcases were pretty normal. The presentation in the first was unique in a good way, and displaying the trip on the prize TV was neat. Steve's right in that the second was essentially a two-prize showcase, but it wasn't that bad.

Was this the first time in the show's history where a showcase did not use the big doors at all or used the Race Game Curtain?

I was going to ask the same question. Here's a related one though: Was this the first time in the show's history where only one of the big doors was used during both showcases, and used only once? When I saw the way the prizes in the first showcase were set up, I thought the second one would be pretty good at least, with all three doors available. Nope.

Drew did a good job I thought, but the transition between the five price tags and the first small prize was awkward. I thought about the smooth way Bob did it: "Take those away please. Bring out a prize please. Tell us about it please."  :P

Also, any opinions on Mitch? I had mixed feelings about him watching his behavior during the opening come-on-downs and in contestant's row. Part of me didn't want him to make it on stage. But he seemed like a nice guy, certainly seemed more humble, once on stage. I started rooting for him a bit.

Wow, that was an awful performance in Clock Game.

Not to mention they didn't show the game on the turntable immediately after the prize descriptions as is usually the case, and didn't show the game at all other than the normal shot of the prize, gameboard, and contestant during the bidding.
