Why do I get the idea that bid covers just the dining furniture (and maybe only some of it, at that!)?  I think a Steinway & Sons grand piano costs on the order of at least $60,000, and that's probably pricing several years ago.

$17,294.

*DING*

The audience is not happy with that bid, but we'll check it out later.  First, let's hear Rich take over the mic for Showcase #2.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage from last year's Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers... Troy Polamalu!

*wild cheers and applause*

Thank you, Rich!  cu, I am here to offer you the football fan's ultimate showcase.  First, here is something that every football fan needs:  a collection of football jerseys.

Now you can wear what the players wear on the football field.  These authentic NFL jerseys from Reebok are made of thick, high-quality Pro-Brite fabric for a genuine gridiron look.  You will receive two different players' jerseys from each of the 32 NFL teams.

Get ready to pack up some of those jerseys because we are going to give you and three of your closest friends a once-in-a-lifetime football experience.  We are sending the four of you to the 2010 Pro Bowl in Miami.

You and three friends will fly on a private jet from Los Angeles to Miami, courtesy of Air Charter.

Air Charter provides innovative air charter service solutions to a worldwide audience of discerning travelers.  Create your own schedule, fly where and when you want, and eliminate long waiting in security lines.  Call 866-FLY-CHTR or visit www.aircharter.com.  Air Charter:  Your plane is waiting.

You and your friends will spend three nights in a pair of classic suites at the Acqualina Resort and Spa.

The Acqualina Resort and Spa is the only AAA 5-diamond hotel in Miami.  Located on 4.5 acres and 400 feet of Atlantic Ocean coastline, this beach escape has two award-winning restaurants and a 20,000-square-foot spa with authentic Finnish saunas, crystal steam rooms, and ice fountains.

While in Miami, you and your friends will each receive all-access Pro Bowl tickets and passes.

You will get an exclusive tour of Land Shark Stadium, meet all of the Pro Bowl players inside the locker rooms before the Pro Bowl, and get Pro Bowl tickets for front-row seats at the 50-yard line.  We've also included a luxury rental car and $10,000 in VISA gift cards.

What an unbelieveable vacation!  And if you think that it can't get any better than that, think again.  If the Pro Bowl wasn't enough, we're going to keep you and your three friends in Miami for another week because you're also going to Super Bowl XLIV.

You and your friends will spend an additional seven nights at the Acqualina Resort and Spa, receive all-access passes and front-row 50-yard-line tickets to the Super Bowl, receive an additional seven days of luxury car rental, and receive another $10,000 in VISA gift cards.

It's a first-class fantasy come true, and I hope to see you in Miami for both the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl... but only if the price is right.

Fantastic job, Troy!  Troy Polamalu, everybody!

*wild cheers and applause*

Yes, I know.  We already had the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl.  But remember, I wrote these showcases several months ago.

So let's review this, cu:  64 authentic NFL jerseys, private jet for you and three friends to Miami, 2 rooms for 10 nights at the resort/spa, the all-access passes and front-row tickets to the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl, 10-day rental of a luxury car, and $20,000 in VISA gift cards--$5,000 for each of you.  It's a lot to bid on, so take a few minutes to think about how much all of that is worth... and then give me your bid.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Wow.  I'm not sure even a $100k bid would cover the garf nowhammies made.  As advice, I'd stay above 120 but less than 200.

Hmm...four tickets each to two games that already happened, plus a boatload of jerseys and cash? Hmm...tricky.

I'm prolly garfing, but...$76000.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

As this series goes off into the sunset, allow me to say that I'm grateful that I was a contestant on your series, Fireball and made it to #2 on your career winnings list, IIRC.  Good luck to you and your future endeavors.

(Also, I'm personally hoping for a "The End" graphic at the end of the show, a la $ale of the Century.)

Just for the heck of it, here are some final statistics from "Fireball's Price Is Right".

A total of 61 different people have won a One-Bid.

58 of those people played their respective pricing games.  3 people missed a deadline during a pricing game, so were replaced by the next best bidder.

These 61 people won a grand total of $2,657,832.48 from 96 One-Bids, 96 pricing games, 32 Showcase Showdowns, and 16 showcase rounds.

The 96 pricing games produced 49 wins and 47 losses, for a winning percentage of 51%.

No show had more than 4 wins or fewer than 2 wins.

JayC had the best winning pricing game record, winning all 4 of the PGs that he played.

LudwigMackdaddy was the only person to make two or more trips to the First Four Breakfast Club--on Episodes 5 and 7.

pathfinder20 got called down to Contestants Row the most times of anybody--6 times.  Kourtney is also the sole owner of these records:  Most consecutive stage appearances (4 times--Episodes 8-11) and best winning Contestants Row record (he won his way on stage each time he got called down, making him 6-0).

Jay and Kourtney were tied for the record of registering for the most episodes of my show--9 episodes.  Jay signed up in each of my first 8 episodes as well as Episode 15, while Kourtney signed up in Episodes 5-12 and this episode.

That's a very good question.

I'd start mine unilaterally (Frank15 has my script), but my last one just ended.
