Rei Ayanami and Frank Sinatra not included. lol Sorry about the placeholder, but this was an idea of a pricing game where a contestant can win 1 of 3 different cars, using an outer space motif.
As the name implies (despite being a song title), the game involves three rockets that are on their way to the moon. However, only one of them will hopefully reach the moon successfully. The other two will run out of fuel along the way.
To fuel the rockets, contestants will have three small/medium prizes to bid on, with two choices of prices (just like Secret 'X', Pathfinder, etc.). Each time the contestant guesses the correct price out of the two, the rockets' fuel tanks will be filled by 30%. Once all three items are guessed upon, the rockets will begin their launch sequence and lift off. Before they launch, the contestant has to choose the one rocket they believe will successfully reach the moon. If that rocket reaches the moon (the rocket reaches the moon and lands), the contestant wins an expensive car ($50,000 or more). Otherwise, if the rocket runs out of fuel along the way (even if the rocket is close to the moon, but does not land), then they will win a car depending on how far that rocket travels. If the rocket travels 1/3 away from the Earth, they win an inexpensive car ($10,000 to $25,000). If the rocket travels 2/3 of the way, they win a more upscaled car ($25,000 to $50,000). If the rocket fails to clear 1/3 of the way, or if the contestant does not get any of the small prize prices right, they get - let's all say it together - NOTHING!
What do you guys think?
