Bert Newton, one of Australia's best known television stars, died last night at the age of 83. For the majority of you, you would probably know him best for his brief stint hosting "Bert's Family Feud" in 2006-07, but he was involved in television since the early 1950's, hosting many television and radio shows.

Eddie Mekka of Laverne & Shirley fame.

https://www.tmz.com/2021/12/02/eddie-mekka-laverne-shirley-carmine-dead-dies/

It says friends and neighbors hadn't heard from him in days, and that he had recently been hospitalized for blood clots and could barely walk.

Was his health in decline for years? He was barely heard from after 2014.
