I have the second edition of this game, it is awesome. I personally would love to see a super deluxe edition of the game. I actually kept calling atleast 5 or 6 stores every day for almost a week and a half nagging them wondering if they got the game yet, somedays more then that many stores. Finally, my now wife, found it one night and drove and got it and were truely impressed by it. I know theres a core group of us that love playing TPIR at home and would be willing to spend a bit more on a better product rather then less on a product that would be a huge step backwards from past TPIR games.

Just thought you'd all like to know...I did not receive my phone call today.

I do not know what the official status of the game is as of now.  Hopefully, I will receive my phone call this week, if not early next week.

I can't say this enough...I appreciate everyone's help, input, and support for my game.  Believe me, I will try my hardest to get the Super Deluxe edition published.  It's going to take time, money, and most likely a different company to produce it.

I hope the "Super Deluxe" game one day becomes a reality.  Aye Travis, Aye.

THE LATEST NEWS:  A COMPROMISE!!

Alright, here's the skinny.  Endless is going to produce a travel version of the game, geared to sell at places like Borders, B&N, etc.  The game itself will contain:

--10 Pricing Games
--30 Special Cards (20 digits [2 each 0-9], daisies, X's, and "WIN")
--Showdown Spinner
--Prize & Rules Booklet

I know it's a far cry from the 2nd edition, and a damn far cry from the SDE that would be awesome, but it is also a far cry from the limited use game that was initially conceived by EG.

Thoughts?

I still think you are getting the short end of the stick here...what about a counter proposal....you do the travel game and then tell them there has been fan outpouring for a SDE edition.

...and by the way do they remember what flack they took when they released the first version of the game? Basically a duplicate of the MB game....do they really want to go down that road again?

I have to agree.  Even though it's better than what's been proposed, tell them that if they produce this travel version, they have to give strong consideration to a SDE, due to the outcry.

That compromise doesn't sound bad.  I definitely think a Super Deluxe Edition would sell.  There are many fans of The Price is Right that would love having a game just like the TV Show, and the feeling of being Bob or Drew, Rich or Rod, Janice or Brandi.

Honestly, Travis, you're getting ripped off. If I was in your position, I would tell Endless to kindly take whatever money they offered you and stick it, then walk. This is really an insult to the talent we all know you have from the 2nd Edition.

To answer the above question, yes, Shell Game was in the 2nd Edition.

Sounds fair to me.  They can't all be huge productions, after all.  Just make sure to keep hounding them that the next game needs to be a Super Mega Deluxe Edition to make up for this one.  Gotta get as big a market as possible, amiright?

Like I said in one of my earlier postings....Password and Feud got released every year for a long time, even by MB. A Price is Right game is a rare event to say the least and I'm sure the corporate bean counters at Endless know that...even again back when it was an MB game. 3 editions in the 70's...1 edition in the 80s and then finally Endless comes out with their first version and even though it was a duplicate of the last MB version, it sold due to the fact that it was such a rarity.

Second Edition comes out and WHAMMO!!! Instant hit. Travis, I can really say that there are VERY few places that I have seen copies of your game for sale at its original price. Where I see Password and Feud out the whazoo sitting there collecting dust.

And after all that work and praise by the fans, they basically want to cheapen the game. Shame on you Endless Games. Let them see what this message board has to say...and to the rest of us fans of Travis' work past and present and fans of any board game version of TPIR...lets get out there and show the Endless suits that they should let Travis do the SD edition of TPIR!!!!!

Any news on this?  Is the travel edition still a go, or has it been replaced (again)?

Truth be told, I have not heard a word from Endless since my last posting on this thread.  I haven't put a foot forward on the game, but the plan is to finish it this weekend.

The Super Deluxe Edition is still being worked on.  All of the game boards are designed, cards printed, tiles ready, prize cards being formulated.  That should be done around mid-February, if not sooner, judging by my new classes and homework.

Guys and Gals, I thank you for all of your support on this.  Hopefully, I'll do you proud again with both versions.

Alrighty, gang.  I know you're curious, so here's my update.

The Endless Games PiR "Grab 'N' Go" edition is complete.  It fits in a gallon-size Ziploc bag with very little bulge.  Truth be told, I can even fold the bag in half and still not compromise the contents, which include:

--30 "Game Cards" (Digits, X's, *'s, "WIN")
--32 pg. Rules & Prizes booklet
--SCSD Spinner
--Dry erase boards

Games included are:  Shell Game, Stack the Deck, Squeeze Play, Most Expensive, Lucky Seven, 2 for 1, Master Key, 3 Strikes, Check-Out, Secret X.
Games NOT included explicitly:  Bidders' Row

Opinions and feedback?
