I've got a question I don't think has been answered yet...I like being able to play my way through a normal show, but is there also the option to play a specific pricing game? For example, if I'm in the mood to play Dice Game, can I play that specifically, or if I'm feeling kind of cocky and want to bring up That's Too Much or Check-Out, can I do that? I mean, don't get me wrong, part of the fun of the show is not knowing what games are going to be played, but I'd like to have the option to pick a certain game if wanted to practice it. (I just realized the other day that I'm not too good at small-prize games! Razz)

Thanks again for sticking around and answering our questions! Smile

Since the screen's now on the site, I can explain it a little bit!

Each game has achievements - completing an achievement in a standard game will put the little dollar sign next to the game. Once the achievements for the games have all been completed, you gain direct access to every pricing game. BobJacobsenVer1 has it exactly right (except for the unlock part).

And yes, that is the complete list of pricing games included in the game. We picked the pricing games following many specific requirements, and made sure to include favorites such as Plinko and Cliffhangers (obviously!)

Nice props for the game. But i'm I the only one who is going to say this but does the graphics seems a little off, since I have been a video game user for a long time. I imagine something that can be beat out like the graphics used on games made by Electronic Arts "EA". There's are pretty real life looking. No offense JC, but spot on with the taste for the game.

Another thing, why the Season 31 1/2 to 34 props, I think it was better the classic props from those yesteryears? In my opinion!

I'm going to get it for both the Wii, for the family. But in my own way, I have it in my cell, but soon for my PC laptop for on the go...

Keep it up, and for a second version, try to make it life like, something that can beat out EA. Please put the Drew props!

I think the graphics are fine - we took the sets and had our artists stylize them just a little bit so they would fit in better in the environment. No major changes have been made, however. Everything plays pretty much the same. Since the game is in 2D, it can lead to less realism (we couldn't go to the actual set and take pictures. And you can be sure that if there's a second version, it'll look even better than this one!

I wish I could put in a Diabetus commercial (I love that one when I see it on TV) as well as a Hoveround commercial, but we don't really have control over that. Smile I agree it's an integral part of the show, however; I just talked to one of our QA guys about the Hoveround ad and he instantly knew what I was talking about. Hell, if I had a Hoveround, I'd go to the grand canyon too!

I know. Why don't we have Wilford do a commercial for the game in a Hoveround? Imagine the possibilities! Smile

Drew: "Don't worry, we'll take care of you. We have a break coming up soon. Rich, very slowly with water sounds in the background, what's the next prize?"
Rich: "It's a piiilaaateees maachiiiineee."

Is the new game no longer going to be on Wii?  I checked the promo site for the game and it only has it listed for being on the computer now.
Any dates for release?

I've taken care of moving this post to the appropriate thread; please keep relative topics in a similar thread in the future.

I can guarantee the game is going to be on the Wii. The long list of available platforms had to be removed from the website (this is what I've been told from our marketing department).

I don't have a firm release date yet - all I can say is the PC downloadable version should be out very shortly (within a month). It's looking very good so far!

Okay one question I can come up with that I have not seen yet. Is there going to be anything included in the coding of the game that will keep Actual Retail Prices Fresh so that they do not get repetitive? Or will there be future Patches to include this kind of thing?

I can guarantee the game is going to be on the Wii.

So if BobJacobsenVer1's Pricing Game speculations are right, then I think you oughta know my opinions on the Wii production of this game.

I'm not terribly familiar with programming, but when video games are released for particular consoles, the button layouts and commands are very similar to each other.  With a platform such as the Wii, incorporating the Wii Remote in any possible facet of the game is a MUST.

For 3 Strikes, a downward motion with the Wii Remote to reach into the bag, then an upward motion to get the number (or "strike"); this is a lot more appealing than a simple button push.

Bonkers would be tough, but a sort of click-and-drag action might work.  This might get a little complicated and frustrating if the controls are iffy, seeing as the time limit for the game (on the show, at least) is 30 seconds.

Hole In One could incorporate the "putt", a la Golf on Wii Sports.

Master Key could very well use a "key-turning" command to determine a winning combination.

Plinko might use a drag-and-release (horizontally) method.

Punch a Bunch should have a hover-and-punch feel to it: move the Wii Remote around the board, then thrust the controller away from the body to punch the hole.

Race Game needs the handle-pull on the "jukebox", at the very least; perhaps a click-and-drag method for switching price tags on prizes?

The Showcase Showdown's "Big Wheel" needs the raised-to-lowered controlling to it, to give a good feel of actually spinning it.

If you haven't thought about it already, or if you have already executed it...I think motion capabilities will be the icing on the cake for the Wii release.

I know my thoughts aren't that structured right now, but I'm sure you get the idea.

NBut they need to make sure not to over - do it, as the game will suffer the fate of many lousy Wii games - too much swinging around. Maybe a motion control scheme, and a non - motion scheme would be good. Maybe even the Classic Controller or Wii Remote sideways would work well.

And the link down at the bottom (I am assuming) is going to be the link for the download because it sends you here, and that link doesnt work.

Patience is a virtue...I, for one, am enjoying the Big Jon PC game that I downloaded recently, because it has all of the pricing games, both active and retired, and it bears a closer resemblance to the real thing than the video game could ever hope to be. If there's a sequel to the video game, they should really do the Drew set and use his various expressions, like my all-time favorite from the Showcase Showdown: "A dollar ON THE NOSE!"

So until you get to play the PC/PS2/PS3/Xbox 360/Wii version, I strongly recommend that you download TPIR from the Big Jon's PC Games site, if you haven't done so already. You'll be glad you did.

I will for the most part Agree with you on that....I have his PC Game and it is quite good however, just to poe a few holes here, and this is in no way disrespect to Bigjon personally but first off his TPIR game has errors that have come up for me and others....that quite frankly he doesnt even know how to resolve, just because its not part of the coding of the game.

Another thing is that there is really no Beta-Testing system over there at his site  So that new releases and updates can be first tested,to wrinkle out all of the errors that there are,and quite Frankly to even suggest that over at his site wouldnt be a good idea at all. I was rudley greeted on my first post there for making a small suggestion about one of his games, even though I did so realizing that it may or may not have been done in the first place. (PM me if you want the full story on that,as I'd rather keept this post as friendly as possible)

The point is Ludia is doing many of the right things, they are listening to what people suggest, have to say,and are Beta Testing everything to make sure they get it right.

Other than that I do agree that Bigjon's TPIR is really good, heck it even has pricing games from before I was even BORN

There are just positives and Negatives for both games, and iis why I will have Both Games on my computer, when the time comes.
