As I said before, and I can't wait to see how it turns out in HD, that SCSD with the arrow graphic brought back is just awesome! Rich DiPirro might be the only person in charge that makes she show feel like it used to before Bart took over and lazied up the directing.

Woot! Rich DiPirro rocks!

I'm sure there was something in today's line-up that put a big ol' grin on the face of a certain moderator from N'Awlins...

-Lineup: Hmmm...maybe switch Bonkers and Grandy. Just don't leave a SP or GP at the end when the car game of the 1st half is Rangey - that was weird-looking.
-Rangey: Arrgh, it was -995. Begley was OK, at least it was only once in PGs. 8/10
-ME: Coats > regular clothes? And why were the other two only $6 apart? 9/10
-Bonkers: EL EXCELENTE!! 11/10
-SD1: 5/5. I don't get excited over new shots, but it's nice to see DiPirro looking throughout the years and bringing back some classics.
-Balance: I had a feeling it was cheap, but she never thought so. 7/10
-Grandy: There we go. 9/10
-Pathy: First time since 11/9/00, according to Fireball, this was 6th - cool! Hmm...the 4 wasn't on an edge of the square, it snaked back in. I guess that's something now non-guaranteed because of Roger...and a repeating digit? Oogh. 8/10
-SD2: 6/5. My goodness, 5 dollars in 2 days, but just $5,000 from it - going by odds, there was about a 55.62% chance that all 5 bonus spins would produce $0. Oh well, the WHITE-hot streak can continue tomorrow and we can finally pass GO and collect 10 or 25k...
-SC1: Mmm...those donations sucked up all the prizes, leaving a very blah SC. 4/5
-SC2: Begley did better here - showing us another nice foreign car! 5/5
-Results: Barely a double-garf. That safari was over 15k for sure, and the Aico looked nice, producing the expected...since it was solar-powered, I look to the cart to be more than expected. 8/10
-Drew: Forgot Bonkers again in the moment...come on, I know you can get it right... 8/10

PGs: 52/60
SDs: 11/10
SCs: 17/20
Drew: 8/10

88 --> B+

Green Day wasn't too overpowering, Bonkers was wonderful, Wheel is hot...overcame more tough car setups for sure.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

very good PG setup today.

Range: I had a slight feeling the price would be slightly under $16K. Not a bad looking car.
ME: Nice win. Again with the clothes being more expensive than the other prizes
Bonkers: Can't play it any better than that. No looking at crowd = Big success
SCSD1: YAY 4 THE $1K DIG WE MUST-ER!
Balance: $5795 seemsd more correct than $4795. Tough loss
Grandy: Nice win. GPs seemed tough today.
Pathy: Evil car price. Never would've guessed 7 for the 2nd number or 2, 1, 4. for the others
SCSD2: YAY FOR THE 2ND AND 3RD $1K DIG WE MUST-ERS! 2nd time this week seeing a contestant win with less than 30 cents in a spinoff. LOL.
SCs.: pretty good. I would've never thought of bidding more than $20K on the Africa trip SC or more than $28K on the Prius SC.

Overall: 9/10  :-D
HAPPY 52ND SEASON, PRICE!!!

I dunno. Not to knock electric cars, but does a ZENN qualify as a "car" per se?

Nice to see that these "theme" shows are starting to work. It's as I stated way earlier ... all you have to have is proper execution, and admittedly learn through trial and error, and you might have something.

Considering the six games played, they could not have been slotted any better.  Range Game makes for a great first game, Bonkers fits nicely third, with the lesser Most Expensive in between to break up the two 1-prizes being back-to-back.  And then the showcase showdown as a break before Balance Game.  Maybe Bonkers or Balance Game could have been replaced with the also-fun Safe Crackers to cut down on the 1-prizers, but I thought it worked pretty darn well, regardless.  Pathfinder sixth was... well, Pathfinder sixth !  And as far as "boring quickies" go, Most Expensive is better than most.  Pure pricing at its simplest, really.

Speaking of Pathfinder, does anyone know if there's ever been a playing where the last number was not on the board's edge?  The new person's been good about avoiding "conflicts" on the Pathfinder keypad, anyway.

On another random note, seeing Bonkers and Balance Game in the same show feels kinda' strange, even though there's no real reason they would conflict.  I think it's just the staging.

The car cue used in Range Game may have been the worst car cue ever used.  It's not even that it was a bad cue.  It's that it really should be reserved for something like items up for bids.  Not cars.  I mean, would it really fit if the 3-digit prize cue in Any Number were used for the car instead?  The segue leading to the car reveal was also astonishingly weak.

I disagree.  It still would've been good, mind you, but lacking the same punch.  The slotting of the games was spot on.  Absolutely any change would have lessened the impact.

I only have a quick comment for now, maybe more later: What an awesome lineup! A Sha-bang Wower! I've perferred shorties in the first half! Pathfinder in the last spot is a brilliant idea I'd like to see a few more times (not too many, though). That's what sticks out to me about today's episode.

it looked awesome.  However, it wasn't able to suppress my dislike for this show.  I feel the whole "green" argument gets way too political, and no matter what side of the fence you are on, the show felt a lot like a political statement to me.  Love the theme shows, but keep them out of any issue that could possibly antagonize a class of people.
Anxiously awaiting another MDS since 2009.

Another interesting tidbit - this is the first time since November 9, 2000 (season 29) that Pathfinder was played last. And I must say today's lineup was unique in some ways. Adam finally placed a long game last in the lineup. Now all I'm hopeing for is Card Game last for the first time since December 2003 or possibly Check-Out. The car today just wasn't going to be won, and there was little the contestant could have done.

The show was okay...why didn`t they go whole hog with green grocery items...like Jason Shampoo or Hervan Cowboy after shave...
For example...just a thought...did like the arrow though during the SCSD`s today...looks like some has been in the vault or youtube...
And why was the turntable open half way when Ed Begly came out...i thought for a second Hoiwe was going to come out and say hi...
Or is it just me ;)_

Whoo hoo--today's lineup was just flat out a-w-e-s-o-m-e. This felt like a Roger lineup--slotting and all. You just knew something had to be up when Range Game and Most Expensive were the lead off games. Wow!! I love it when the gp and sp games are played 5th and 6th--no matter which order, but to actually see Pathfinder last again was just a tremendous treat. Again, I stress seeing both the gp and the sp games back to back 5th and 6th is an awesome way to end the pricing game portion of the show.

Speaking of lineups has anyone else noticed besides myself that over the last several weeks we've been seeing progessively better and better lineups and slotting?

What in the world was that cue they used for the electric car in  Range Game? That was awful.

Bonkers was played beautifully. That would have been a shame if Michael hadn't won considering he didn't waste any time looking out to the audience.

Y'know you just had to have seen Grand Game coming a mile away today since the show was all about "going green." Well, Grandy fits the "green" bill to a tee :-P

Oh was Pathfinder a beautiful sight to behold 6th. That almost brought a tear to my eye.

That 2nd showcase today was good--prizes and theme worked very well together.

Overall a very nice effort today. Today's show definitely exceeded my expectations.
