Mike Richards just proved he knows nothing about what has made the show what it is (or was) today.  For years, it didn't have to always be bigger and in your face.  Hey, Mikey: How about watching some old episodes and taking some notes.  It's like they are trying to produce "TPIR on Crack".  We're not ADHD; we don't need flashing lights, special guests and "lifestyles of the rich and famous-like" prizes to keep us watching.  Just let it be about the contestants and the games.  The rest will work itself out.

I'm fine with the new turntable, I'm thinking it will be much more impressive on a Hi Def LCD TV, than some small Youtube window.

I find it ironic how the show tries to mix up the prizes and offer "cool" things like over-stuffed trips and impossible to price items to make the show less "predictable." Yet, the same things happen every single time a show airs.

Set looks great, i wasnt' expecting the glow, and I'm curious to see how they use it for games, win, loss, etc...  Will the set "match" the game being played, we'll have to see, at least i can seen how the TT is integrated under the door border..

But the font choice for the bids on the SC podiums?  Who else feels like the display just went Jepoardy on us?  I can't tell too clearly but it looks like the same font used for "SHOWCASE" as well....

I noticed C-Row has a frame now around them with the display recessed behind them.. interesting..

No better words have been spoken. I predict that The New Price is Right will not catch on...meaning that no matter if they made these changes or not, the show would still have gotten the same ratings. "Home Base" is a pointless change to me, and will most likely be a pointless change to the Neilsen ratings. Then again, as I've said, I'll still watch because it's the closest thing we have to The Price is Right :TBY (TBY= The Barker Years).
