Usually when we have a showcase that ends in the numbers 994, the natural tendency is for folks to be $6 over. Our winner today just had to buck the tendency...he was $6 under. In doing so he posted the closest difference of this season, and smoked the entire field except for the second place player, who was able to snag a rather pricey room/trip package which had a Bullfrog spa wedged in the middle somewhere.
Oh, and why am I telling you this? BuddyTom's modem did a swandive today, and he could not participate normally. In fact, he called his bids in to our eventual winner on something called a telephone. How quaint.
