CSS Results for October 13

This has been one roller-coaster of a week. Monday we had a 50% score rate, Tuesday we had the cheapest showcase offered in nearly five years AND a QSW. Wednesday, Mr. Bush tanked CSS, Thursday, my modem tanked (but we had a pretty good CSS day), and today we have almost 100% scoring and 2 DSWs!

The first showcase looked pretty random. Appliances, Furniture, Trip... eh. Nobody went over on it and the bids were (for the most part) decent. Second showcase ends with the Toy Hauler, which is NOT a new trailer, but being double value Friday, some people see the need to go low. Most people, in fact.

LiteBulb88 and BRB_TheFireball both pick up DSWs. LiteBulb, however, squeaks out the victory for money. Considering how much BRB picked up on Wednesday, I don't think anyone's going to cry too hard.

Ludwig, who had a phenomenal DSW yesterday, gets cash for the trailer with the only sub-$1000 difference. Also of note is that Jordanar18 managed to tie STAGE PLAYER down to the dollar with completely different bids.

I definitely ain't complaining that Britey beat me by $27 on the friggin' random room/trip showcase.  A DSW-quality bid is a DSW-quality bid.  Imagine that:  Last season, my only DSW-quality bid was canceled by an OB on the opposing showcase.  This season, I nail 3 DSWs... and it's only mid-October!

Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Nothing spectacular, but hey, I got the job done today. I just wish I could have more performances like that. I either go over or do fantastic. If I had more solid performances like this, I'd be higher on the leaderboard.

Wow...the last two times I've played, I had a DSW-quality overbid, and now my first DSW!  If only I didn't have this thing called a job and could play more often :-).  I was originally thinking $19,000, but shaved the $466 off, and I'm glad I did.

I'll take a fifth place finish any day of the week, but especially on a Friday.  The kicker on the trailer showcase (which only Ludwig and Robair beat me on) was that I never even heard how long it was, and that's usually the critical info that I need for trailers.  Today makes up for my two overs earlier this week.

What a week.. i'd like another like this next week please.. i mean without the pre-empts  and cheapo of the cheapo showcases :)
