CSS Results for October 19
« on: October 19, 2006, 02:03:50 PM »
Today we had two classics: the "Every Room In The House" showcase, and the "FRTSC." The Fleetwood trailer caused a great deal of overage (yes, it's 26 feet, but it's also a Fleetwood. They're cheap!)

Today I also tried out a new rule that has been worked out between Marc and I (and others) that if there are more than two winners of a doubler, only the top two scorers will get points. This is to encourage good performance in CSS rather than safety garfing to get double points. Today wouldn't have made much of a difference as one of the three went over, but really, I'm a little sick of seeing the double points go to the bottom of the scoring section.

heelsrule1988 either rallies or totally suxxorz. :-D Today was the former, with a very nice bid on the trailer. Despite garfing the trailer, your CSS host got some cash on his birthday and actually beat the self-crowned "King of Furniture" at his own game, winning the Everyroom showcase.

Thank you everyone for your kind birthday wishes this morning. Today I go from "mid-20s" to "pushing 30." I'm 27.

Me winning a trailer showcase? Who would've thought? Glad to pick up my second win of the season, and go up 5-3 over Armadillo. :-D

Exactly, and that's the problem. I wish I was more consistent.

...but only by a few hundred. :-)

I agree with the doubler rule.  Too many fake points floating around.

This has been a tough week.  Over by $50 one day, now off by $100 on earning some $$$.

Something's screwy with your spreadsheet, Tom: Paul and 985 have two scores each, and the overs aren't in alphabetical order like usual.

For the record, I think Tom's new ruling is fantastic.

Well, my performance would have probably been just average today.....

Is it still a BuddyTom if you over by six grand on the other showcase?  I was glad to find I'd overestimated a Fleetwood after busting on the Everyroom by NINE DOLLARS.

Nice to know someone pays attention to them. :D

Here's what happened. I use a template that undoubtedly has old scores on it. I forgot to erase the three at the bottom. As for the non-alphabetical order, well they actually were. Backwards. I sort by points, in descending order. It just applied that to the names in the first column as well (I usually don't sort OVERs, just stick them in alphabetically. This is what happens when I rely on technology instead of doing it like I usually do). It's now fixed.

I think the people who go over should be listed alphabetically by height.
