CSS Results for October 23

In chat today I said that I smelled a boat. And indeed we got the boat and I did pretty well on the boat, even getting second place on the boat. But that second place was nothing compared to our winner today who DSWd on the boat with a $247 difference.

And then came the Train Depot showcase, fairly dull really, with a GEM car at the end (though it was the large one, probably in the $10-11K range, though I will have to look at the recap later). The same player who DSWd in SC1 came only $56 away from QSWing, and needless to say wins both showcases.

NCC-2000, you were this close to joining BRB_TheFireball in the QSW club! But I don't think that you'll be complaining too much with an extremely solid win.

A token overbid on each showcase today, nothing too serious. But the Stage Player must have thought that boat was a yacht, and that GEM car is not even a Ford Focus, let alone something worth a $29K bid! Needless to say, the Stage Player had a double overbid today.

Not an overly impressive day for me, but solid nonetheless. I'll take it. And congrats NCC... glad your risk-taking finally worked out for you. :-)

You know, I wasn't even paying attention to how close I was on these things. From my recent track record of reverse-DSWing so many times, I was just happy that I didn't go over for the millionth time in a row. Then I went back and checked the numbers and realized that I just had an awesome day. If only I could do this more often than once in a blue moon!  :lol:

Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".
