CSS Results for October 26

Not a very good day in CSS for many of our regular players. Quite a good day in CSS for our host, and our former host who created the CSS in the first place, and for our daily "HERE WE GO!!!!" man.

The Splendido showcase didn't prove too difficult for most. No overbids, a few extra-cautious bids, but pretty consistent. But the Chevy Malibu seemed to elude a dozen players. Some were egregiously too high while most were just a little bit over, in what is now termed a "Heels" instead of a "BuddyTom."

Robair wins by a hair in points. Chief-O gets the car with a difference of only $388 dollars, and your host gets Splendido.

Now you can all have Splendido!  too! (yeah, most of you probably have it already...)

I may suck at Host Your Owns (thanks for running a great game Jordanar, and good bidding today), but at least I'm fairly decent at CSS.  Unfortunately (though it is ultimately a good thing), I've found a job, at least temporarily, so I may not be around for a while.  I'll manage to stay above the line for a week or two, but I will slowly slide into the abyss.  Oh well, it's been fun.  Best of luck to everyone the rest of the way, and I'll be in chat every chance I get.

Kind of glad I didn't come today. I doubled on the non-car showcase, but went over on the car one.

Yeah, that's surprising, considering my horrible underbid on the car from whatever day it was. (I think it was yesterday)

Sure did. I totally had the chance to take you down today with your super-chickenish bids, but I couldn't come through. Why must I be so bad with cars?

Oh well. Hey, at least it's actually a close rivalry this season. We're even at 5-5. Definitely better than the owning you put on me all of last season (well, except for at the end, when it counted ).
