CSS Leaderboard: 10/27/2006 (After 6 Weeks/29 Games)

If you look at the leaderboard through 6 weeks, you'll undoubtedly find some major differences from last season's leaderboard.  Some of the players from the lower part of the last year's leaderboard are near the top of this year's: Sonic, Doughnut, and Searcy among others.  Last year's point leader is way down in the middle-bottom, and our second place finisher (who is now above the line) is in the back corner of the basement.

This week, NCC-200, in winning his second game of the season, got a more than impressive showing on Monday with a DSW and a near-DSW, resulting in the third-lowest total difference of the season.  The rest of the winners, in order, were umbchockeypa08 (first win), Joe_Mello (second win), Robair (second win), and your leaderboard-updater (second win).  Well done to all!

LOWEST OF THE LOW -- WEEK 6

SINGLE SHOWCASE:

1.  NCC-2000, with a $247 DSW on the FRBS on Monday worth $29K;
2.  Ditto, $309 on the Train Depot showcase worth $17K on Monday;
3.  gauchodirk, with a $374 difference on the FRTS on Wednesday worth almost $21K.

TOTAL DIFFERENCE:

1.  NCC-2000, $553 total on the Boat/Train Depot combo worth over $46K;
2.  Robair, $2337 away from the bedroom/Malibu combo on Thursday worth almost $38.5K;
3.  BuddyTom, $2562 away from the same Thursday deal.

BUDGET BUSTERS:

1.  namnhu12 - $52,718 (Friday)
2.  BuddyTom - $45,282 (Tuesday and Thursday)
3.  sideshowPA - $45,090 (Friday)

Unless I'm totally off base...shouldn't I have the "Category Leader" title for rate?  I've got a rate of 91.67, whereas your leader has 80.95.

  Wow.. so much I could say about this week-- the staggering news that less than .5 separates 4th and 2nd.. the staggering amount of trash talkers who either had HORRIBLE weeks or are still lingering in the doldrums-- how shocked I am to move UP one when I only got points one day this week ( WHY WHY WHY Can't I remember Malibus are cheap!!) --

...I knew I was doing poorly, but...there are no words for that.  I didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to get a score that crappy.

I am barely above the line.  But I try to play as much as I can. I can play only once this week.  I will be in the room on tuesday but work at 11 so wont be able to stay for the css.

Put simply, you've either lowballed or gone over tragically. That doesn't fare well in CSS. However, you've played less than half the season so far, so it's not totally as bad as it looks. Look on the bright side... you're going neck-and-neck with me, and it's early in the season. Very early. If you keep playing often, I'm sure you'll turn it around. I mean, you've made the playoffs the last two seasons, so I doubt you'll be down for long.
