Believe it or not, the reversing of the table isn't a new flub; it's happened before. One of the times resulted in a contestant who still managed to not get of the die over the line. (Source: FAQ)

I think I remember when it happened before. Didn't Bob take the time (there was more time back then I know) to set things up the right way, including turning the table around? Wasn't the word "PLAYER" added to the table after the mistake?

Sounds like Drew did notice? He was starting to tell the player to stand next to where it says "player" but halted mid-sentence when he saw it wasn't there. I'm guessing he just figured it wasn't worth the time and slowing of the pacing to turn it around.

Not only that but since it was the wrong way, the line was up right at the contestant.  That made for the most crappiest rolls I have EVER seen on Dice Game.  I'm, in a way, surprised that no one caught it.

But this show, in general, was a complete train wreck.  Not Drew's A-game for sure.  Master Key is one of my favorite games, but the way that Drew plays it takes the excitement out of it, because of doing the second SP instead of the car.  However, I wouldn't be surprised if Mikey told him to start doing this.

Yay!  Master Key!

Ali accidentally revealed the price in Bonkers, and she still lost.  That may be an Historic Moment®.  Of course, she sucked at the game and she revealed the price when there were only 2 seconds left... but I think it's still a first for TPIR.  The first time that a contestant accidentally reveals the right answer and still loses.

My showcase bids:
Motorcycle--$20,107
:frbs: --$30,107
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Once again, I'd like to thank my cable company, this time for not broadcasting half of Master Key or any of the gameplay in Bonkers, as well as for airing Most Expen$ive and the third Item up for Bids in black and white.

What the hell happened in Dice Game?  First the table wasn't turned the right way, and then Drew never even bothered to ask whether or not the second number was six.

Bonkers had the potential to be a disaster, too, although that wasn't really anybody's fault.  Maybe they ought to be more worried about that button than the one in Flip Flop...

Believe it or not, the reversing of the table isn't a new flub; it's happened before. One of the times resulted in a contestant who still managed to not get of the die over the line. (Source: FAQ)

Damn, I didn't even remember that. :)

Key was agonizing, especially when Drew does his occasional semi-common goof up. They should have started with the dud key.

I noticed Drew looked at the end of one of the keys, and then looked off stage when they were walking to the locks. I assumed he/they were attempting to see which was which. Obviously they started with the winning key first though.

Speaking of the locks, they looked a tad rough in hi-def today. They could stand a little maintenance.

I can remember them having Dice Game set wrong on at least two occasions during the Barker era. Bob even caught the error one day, and turned the table around. The felt was corrected, but the table had been positioned correctly originally. The "Player" label on the table ended up facing towards the camera, so it would seem someone that day placed the felt in backwards. I tried to see if that was the case today, but couldn't see the label, as the lights were glaring off the table.

Glad there was no technical win in Bonkers... I know the benefit of the doubt is usually given to the contestant in those situations, but the accidental reveal was with like one second on the clock. It had no effect on the game whatsoever.

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY: Sara
SHOW GRADE: 1

I think Drew's so fixated on "One and six are automatic wins" and "We know you have that right" that he doesn't even bother to ask whether the number actually is one or six, or then ask the player, as Bob used to, "It's not a six, but we know that it's ___?" Or maybe they've intentionally decided to do it that way to speed up the game?

The bike was $9780 when in Freeze Frame a while back. ALso, the Appliances in Master Key were $850 and the TV was $1399(at least when they were last on the show)

Whatever the reason it happened, to take the excitement out of rolling a "1" or "6" really stinks.  This is one of those cases where Drew should definitely be doing this game Bob's way.

Agree,

While I like the way he does "One Away" better than Bob, and Drew calling Hans, "Yodelly Guy." Almost all of the other games simply NEED to be done Bob's way, because it was a proven format that WORKED!
