This was an OK motif show, although I agree it was a bit overdone and would have done fine as just a showcase. In particular, giving the donation in the contestant's name in Plinko felt off to me. (I wonder if that contestant wishes she could donate $600 in her name and keep $10,000?) I felt having everything pink was OK for one episode, and a couple men did get called, so that part wasn't too bad. It helped that we squeezed 10 Chances in and got another win in - that always helps my opinion of a show!

Really 10C, Push and DP were all set up for wins, with Danger left open. If you watch the show even semi-regularly, what's going to be $889? Not an elliptical machine, not a refrigerator and certainly not a huge TV! That leaves the computer. TTM was really hard though - I wasn't aware the Fusion had gone up that much!

Having identical vehicles in both showcases is still dumb, even if there's an obvious underlying reason behind it. And having $8000 iPad cases in the showcase also is really just....excessive.

Timings:
Plinko (5.5) - 4:43
Push Over (4) - 3:13
10 Chances (6) - 4:58
Double Prices (3) - 2:34
Danger Price (4.5) - 4:05
That's Too Much (5) - 3:46
Total (28): 22:19

A very strange show, with Drew popping in and out reminding us about the "Ford....uhhh...Warriors in Pink" more than enough times.

What do scarfs have to do with Price or breast cancer?  They were considering handing out pink vuvuzelas, but they decide to go with scarfs since they are quieter.

The Plinko SP's were set up quite fairly.  I would have had the donation match whatever she won in the game, with 10k as the minimum.

I would have won Pushover, but I didn't want to believe that the trip could be as much as 6k.  The setup forced me into it.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ashley's bid was intentional.  She did put up a fairly good playing of 10 Chances, however.

I too was fooled in Danger Price.  That elliptical looked cheap.  Lisa even tried to get away with the TV and fridge, but Drew stopped that.

Not many people were going to win That's Too Much.  Even if you didn't stop prematurely, not including the 2k gap that late was quite mean.

Lisa passed on that hard-to-price loaded Titanium Focus, only to end up with the same prize at the end of her showcase!  Really poor planning there.

This is one theme show I hope we don't repeat.  In another question, is this the first day we have celebrated a whole month event instead of a particular day?

I understand why all the cars were Fords, but just one make of cars on the show is still boring.

Helped me remember why I disliked Honda days.
"The most famous game on The Price is Right is Plinko..." "Which I don't get, honestly."

Kev pretty much reflects my thoughts on the whole breast cancer awareness motif.  The combination of the scarves and Drew mentioning it every five seconds began to grate on me as the show went on.

At least we got a decent lineup out of it, although a GP game would have been nice to round it out.  I was hoping to see LER or PtB instead of TTM.

Speaking of TTM, I agree with Flerbert and Kev that there was almost no way it was going to be won.  I would have stopped one too soon.

10C had a nice comeback after a rather rocky start (I won't even comment on the preceding One-Bid).  DP was an easy win, and Pushover should have been won.

I thought for sure the showcases would be a DOB.  It's a good thing it's Friday, because I suspect the double points are going to be needed to mask some pretty bad CSS scores.

Holy... how expensive <strong>is</strong> the Ford Focus Titanium?!

Via Ford's website, $22,495 for the 4 dr. sedan, $22,995 for the 5 dr. hatchback (also a sedan).

Basically, the Ford Focus Titanium is a mini-luxury car. Similar in concept (in a way) to the Cadillac Cimmaron or AMC Concord Limited of the 1980s -- compact cars that were loaded with luxury car features. (For instance, this is the first time a Focus has had a power driver's seat as an option.)

The SC cars were ridiculously expensive. The designs on them were horrible IMO.

I understand why all the cars were Fords, but just one make of cars on the show is still boring.

I agree the "Warriors in Pink" logo is pretty far out, but it's the thought and message behind it that matters, IMO. Also, offering just one make of cars on a given episode has been a TPiR practice for years ... like, since the original Cullen TPiR began.  Now, 55 years later ... you're finally up to complaining about just one make of cars on a particular show?

If that's the truth -- I've got a Yugo to offer you as an Any Number prize, and it's parked next to my ocean-front property in Arizona.

I'm aware one-make shows have been done before, and I'll admit that I never really thought about it before, and I paid more attention to it because of this themed show, and I'll grant that my comments were an offshoot of my dislike of themed shows in general, well intentioned as they may be. But I still prefer a variety of makes and models on TPIR.

The Ford Fusion in That's Too Much was on steroids.

The 2011 Fusion was that much on April 8, 2011.

According to Ford, the 2012 Fusion SE starts at $22,830 with the 2.5-litre engine. And automatic is optional.

10 Chances win! Woohoo!

There were a few nice directorial touches in today's episode: a nearly-complete turntable spin on Push Over, the awesome first CC Plug price-tag reveal of the Big Wheel, the nifty 2nd CC Plug starting in the camera and a couple of unique angles during the IUFBs. Since this is from later on, it would appear the new director has become more confident in adding his own touches--hoping to see more!

Plinko:  Blah.
Push Over:  Huh?? ???
10 Chances, Double Prices:  Nice wins! :-)
Danger Price:  Bummer! :-(
That's Too Much:  Same old same old.
Showcase:  Since they had the same car in both showcases, I wonder, had somebody won both showcases, if they would've won two cars.

An okay show overall, IMHO.
