Because it's time for the season-ending FPG Playoffs, herein and forever to be named...
THE GOODSON-DOBKOWITZ CUP!
Rather than basing it upon leaderboard stats as it has in the past, here's who qualifies for the Cup:
1. Anyone who played in more than 9 FPGs this year
2. Anyone who previously placed in the Top Five for any previous Goodson Cup.
3. Other special invitees to be named and chosen solely by me for whatever reason I deem appropriate.
Here's how it's going to work:
Stage 1, June 1st. Only the Top 16 finishers shall advance.
Stage 2, June 8th. Only the Top 10 finishers shall advance.
Stage 3, June 15th. Finals.
Oh, one very VERY important thing to note. You MUST score at least 1 MG point to advance out of any round.
People who do not advance out of Stage 1 get nothing. No points, no monies.
People who make it to Stage 2 but get eliminated get a flat $100,000 and 50 points.
The final 8 will play for monies and points as follows:
8th Place: $200,000 / 75 pts
7th Place: $300,000 / 80 pts
6th Place: $400,000 / 85 pts
5th Place: $500,000 / 90 pts
4th Place: $750,000 / 125 pts
3rd Place: $1,000,000 / 175 pts
2nd Place: $1,500,000 / 200 pts
1st Place: $3,000,000 / 300 pts
