We had a very decent show today. I had to miss the 1st pricing game due to the special report from obama about the economy.
pepe! It took us all summer to clean out all the skunk stink from seasons 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40!!!

Pretty decent show today, in my opinion.

Yay, 10 Chances again! And not too bad of a playing either.

Cover Up seemed to be its usual self. I would've won it with the correct last two choices of 1 and 3, and I had suspected that when he chose what he did, he wouldn't win the car.

And, Eazy Az 1-2-3 was, well, easy.

Too bad we didn't get a win on the debut of the newest member of The Price is Right pricing game pool. A decent game overall.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Great show today, Cover was the only blah portion. Obama ended up just adding tension to everything, looked like just a standard Eazy W missed there.

What wasn't standard was Eazy 1st, normal Cliff 5th, and 10C (another nice playing to end its season!) last. With that and Cross (which minus the tweet, would have stoned us all today), honestly this is the best argument you can make Adam was playing FPG... and boy, he got me today. :P

I guess we have a Cross thread in Talk is Right, but quick recap of my thoughts here: excellent pricing aspect, I love how there are pairs of prices as options, where the middle number links and crosses the prices (if it's 1st in one price, it must be last in the other, 2nd then 3rd, etc.). But set reminds us that the Mike era is indeed too big & flashy everywhere, and this time on a regular 2-prizer it can't get away with it like Rat or Rent. Maybe if the lights go away soon, I can get used to the big prop, but it just doesn't feel like it needs more than GPT space. What I didn't like though was that two sexed up items (again, too big!) were used and caused trouble, clearly her buds wanted the lowest grill option, which I can completely understand. I really don't like that grill.

Great June week with 16/17 wins and a split on the cars.

Eazy: We missed a $500 bonus in addition to this being won.

CU: Well, President Obama did us a favor- that playing was pretty uneventful.

DC: As far as I know, there are four pairs of prizes you can choose from; I knew the shower was $5,327 & I probably would've won.

SBS: Fairly easy.

C-H: Joshua gave us a little scare when he underbid the second SP on the third one.

TC: Janie played this mostly good, so we hit the .500 mark in the car games this week!

Showcases: I knew the tripcase would be worth more than the car Showcase.

This was a good week on the next-to-last full one of the season!

Gwendolyn and Manuela, but no Daniel?  Hooray!

-95 looked right for the BBQ island in Double Cross and I probably would have set it for that and won, or at least I like to think so.

Great template for Double Cross, Vader.  I was wondering how it would appear on here, and that looks pretty good!

Was SC2 a two-prize showcase, or technically a 27-prize showcase?  :P

I was thinking we were heading for a Cliff Hangers slam dunk until he went lower on the 3rd item than the 2nd.  Thank goodness he had enough slack from the first two to cover the bad bid.  $20-30-40 would have produced an exacta.....I can't recall; how often does $20-30-40 produce not only a winner but an exacta?  Between that and the zeros rule in 10C, there were a couple very LFAT-friendly setups today.

I also missed the first part (first three pricing games) of the show today.

Where is 10 Chances?? :-?

Here it is; add my "Yay". :-)  And nice to see all three prizes won. I still miss the old cue for the first two though.

I don't know if Rory was playing strategy or not on his first Cover Up guess, but it didn't really matter as I don't think he was ever gonna pick 1 for the fourth number.

Potential nickname for the new PG:  Double Pushover.  But seriously, after the re-introduction of Bargain Game, do we really need another 2-prize game in the rotation?  I did love the camera angle and zoom to introduce the game, though.

Joshua almost screwed himself by going so low on the third item.  Those bowls looked like they could be $45.

Aside from two dumb guesses ending in 5, Janie got those first two prizes fairly quickly and had plenty of chances to get the car.  No dumb guesses like $19,807 or $79,801.  Just a solid win.

My showcase bids:
Tripcase--$29,107
Jeep--$26,107

WSQ!
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Tell that to Switch? which has been played 36 times in 38 weeks. (To answer your question: Absolutely.)

Nice wins on Eazy Az 123 (even though I missed it), Side By Side, Cliff Hangers, and 10 Chances.

Double Cross looks neat!  Too bad it was lost.  I wonder if it can be played for two prizes with 5-digit prices.

Good end to the week, IMHO.

Indeed, I don't get why people do the same kind of thing in Cliff Hangers so often, bidding way too low on the last item when they have a cushion.  He covered $2 to $44 for the price of the bowls.  Hello, the bowls aren't going to be $2!!!!  Bid a little higher than you maybe think they are, since you have a lot of cushion and you are wasting it by bidding low.  (A couple weeks ago, I recall someone covered not only $0, but some negative dollars with their third bid in Cliff Hangers.  Don't do that!!!

I think she finally got the hang of 10 Chances on the car.  $35 was marginally excusable; maybe she thought there was no way it was $50 but gave in.  Fortunately with 5 chances left and only ever 6 good options for the price of the car, she was in good shape once she figured it out.
