Wow, 5 pricing games won with a $4,000 bailout from Yolanda on Let 'em Roll.  And then Yolanda went on to win her showcase.  Everybody plays, everybody wins!

As for Corey, he really should have been focusing on trying to win instead of trying to impress Grandma.

My showcase bids:
Trips--$20,707
Car--$35,707
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Was Corey the best contestant's row bidder? No (bidding $1 second & bidding $7,000 with your last chance to get up on stage disqualify you from being the best).

Was he worse than Joseph (The $2,000,000 man), Evan (Mr. $420), & Laurie (Mrs. $420), who I consider the 3 worst contestant's row bidders ever? NO!! Unlike those 3, Corey at least more good bids than he did bad ones. And for all we know, he might've won Let 'Em Roll had he gotten up on stage at that moment & helped get a perfect show.

Corey may not have been the best under the pressure of everything, but he doesn't deserve all the flack that he's gotten.

Now as for the show itself, if only Let 'Em Roll hadn't been setup for only 2 rolls & maybe if we had a gutsier player, MAYBE we could've gone 6/6. But as it is, 5 games won, nice prizes given away & Yolanda winning her showcase make this the (very early) show of season 43.

Coming or Going: Tough setup and nice win of a nice Buenos Aires trip.

Five Price Tags: Hit or miss with the SPs but the Mini Cooper was easy to price given the options shown and it was great to see it won. The iPad Airs were a great contestants row prize too.

Double Cross: The easiest way to win was by pricing the washer/dryer set first since washer/dryer sets tend to be between 42000 and $3000 and TV prices vary wildly. The best way to play it would be to set the LG washer/dryer to $2746 and let the Samsung TV price fall. Nice to see some fantastic prizes won.

Balance Game: Setup to be won. Although watercraft aren't my thing I know they tend to be expensive and Sea Doo is a well known brand. So far so great.

Let em roll: The detergent was easy and the cat food could have gone either way. It's a shame the Chevy Spark not being won cost us a perfect show but I agree with today's contestant's decision to bailout at $4000 with only one roll left. With two rolls left I'd say roll the cubes but with one roll today's contestant likely ends up at $500 to $1500 had she rolled again.

Shopping Spree: With this win every contestant who made it on stage won something. Great way to end the show with an easy win. The Samsung computer and Kymco motorscooter were nice prizes though the accessories certainly aren't my thing. As for the contestant at the red podium, I don't think he was that bad. While he was very stupid in round six, his bids in rounds two through five were all quite reasonable and even his round one bid wasn't that terrible, especially considering Espresso Machines are easy to underprice.

Showcases: The Dodge Dart showcase was the better showcase and the Dodge Dart looked beautiful on TV in its royal blue. But the African Safari showcase was still a strong showcase and was worthy of being the winning showcase:

Lineup: Very good: Five Price Tags and Double Cross are favorites and Balance Game is always fun. I'm not crazy about Let em Roll due it being more luck based than pricing based but it slots well fifth. Shopping Spree is an underrated game and a good closer, The big weakness in this lineup is that Coming or Going is one of our dullest games and a very weak lead off hitter. Flip flop the slotting and play Five Price Tags First (Five Price Tags is an awesome lead off hitter.) and Coming or Going second and this lineup earns a "strong" rating.

Overall: Five full wins, including the awesome Mini Cooper win, $4000 won on the other so every contestant making on stage won something. both showcases being strong, and a very good lineup means we had a great show today.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

Yeah, no. Contestants never deserve to be smacked upside the head for perceived "bad" bidding. He could have simply been nervous in front of a national audience. It happens.[/color]

Yeah............I guess that was pretty harsh. My bad, cu.

Wow, what an awesome show!  Lots of wins, a bonus spin-off, Five Price Tags...it doesn't get a lot better than this. :)

Words cannot express how happy I was that Corey never got out of Contestants' Row.  He seemed like a complete boob.

It was pretty cool seeing Drew have a Bob moment when he told Raymond he couldn't spin a third time. :)

I wonder what was up with the Showcase podiums today.  The "placard" didn't move between them when the TW passed the first showcase -- it just appeared on the other podium.

Has anyone noticed that they're being kind of inconsistent with what color George's podium and the Turntable are this season?  Even the dollar sign statue changed to green today during the second Showcase Showdown.

I must say I'm impressed that seven shows into the season, they haven't repeated a pricing game yet.

I wonder what the pricing discrepancy was that was mentioned in the credits...anyone have any idea?

Was this something that only came up on TV?  I can't find anything about it on the online broadcast.

The price of the Car in LER does not effect gameplay, but the price of the SPs in Tags/GPs in Roll absolutely does effect gameplay, so that can't be it.

They could effect the play, but then again they could also not effect it.

Use the last item in today's game (the cat food).
It was marked $4.99.  The item prior (Detergent) was marked $5.99

If the cat food was supposed to be $6.99 then it would effect the game (contestant only getting 2 rolls vs the 3 she should have had, which might make a difference in her stopping with money rather than trying again for the car).

But, if it was supposed to be $3.99, there would be no effect as she would have been wrong either way and thus only due 2 rolls.

I wonder what was up with the Showcase podiums today.  The "placard" didn't move between them when the TW passed the first showcase -- it just appeared on the other podium.

I noticed that the Showcase description briefly appeared on both podia, although it was partially blocked by Drew.  The only thing I could think of was that maybe the normal animation across has to be preloaded and somebody forgot to do that, so they just made a quick manual change.
