THE BAD NEWS:

Bonkers: Too bad for Todd...........He did have a good pace and didn't looked to the nuts, but I really don't like it when contestants like him have to make double sure that the paddles stick. That does waste some time, right there. I did liked his shirt, though, and he won a SUV.

Danger Price: Somehow, this wasn't that hard of a setup, considering how much the laptop is. Tough luck for Brooke.

Pass The Buck: That Christian guy pretty much denied Mary a Jetta when he wanted her to pick #5. Personally, if I had 2 picks and I get $3K with the Lose Everything spots both intact, I would've taken the money and bail.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Any Number: Lisa is $500 richer on the 1st IUFB and got the Spark. I find it funny that the 9 and the 5 would be the piggy bank numbers, and I thought either one of them would be the last number.

Squeeze Play: Wasn't a difficult setup, but that was a pretty cheap trip to Lake Tahoe. Good win by Matthew!

Cliffhangers: I was scared over that jewelry cleaner, but it was good for Shalita to keep Hans from falling. Her expression when she found out that she's going to the Showcase was priceless.  8-O

THE BOTTOM LINE:

A not-too-bad 3/6-er today.

Any Number: This is one of the most popular car games, and the car was won, as usual.

Bonkers: The contestant wearing the Cliff Hangers shirt didn't get to play Cliff Hangers, but at least he played Bonkers very well. It's too bad he lost. This setup was brutal in my opinion, with all numbers being middle numbers, like 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Danger Price: This is a bad playing, as I knew the danger price should be the price of the laptop.

Cliff Hangers: Nice win.

Squeeze Play: I find this setup to be very difficult, as any of the numbers could be taken out. I'm glad the contestant won. I could really use a snow bike, especially in the winter.

Pass The Buck: Tough break for the contestant.

Overall, this was not a bad show. I'm glad a showcase was won.

1) It's not required that you have to say Any Number is popular. The game has existed for 42 years and 3 sets, don't you think that's kind of obvious?

2) Just cause you know that a laptop is $1,607 doesn't mean the contestant did. I thought it was the accessories personally, but that does not change the performance of the player, nor does it deserved to say it was played badly. It's a game of luck as well as pricing you know. Not all laptops are $1,607.

I don't like chewing people out, but there have been complaints before about some of your posts and it would be suggestible you work on your reviewing a bit.

It's even cooler that the Any Number playing shown on the TV was won. Pretty ironic that today's playing was just like the one shown!

Any Number: What an amazing way to start a week. To start the week with a perfect bid was really satisfying and that Samsung TV is one of the best contestants row prizes there is. And it was super cool to see Any Number being played on that TV when Any Number was just about to be played. This was a well earned win, especially considering that 3 is an uncommon number for the ones digit. Great to see the Chevy Spark won and it looked really nice on TV in its red. I couldn't have asked for a better start to our short week.

Bonkers: Today's contestant played the game very well. It's really a shame that he didn't win. Those Can Am ATVs were a nice prize. The tablet and Kindle were a fantastic contestants row prize though. I'm a Kindle guy myself. I have a. Kindle Touch that I got as a Christmas present in 2011 and I've loved it. Judging by the light that came with it I think that Kindle was most likely a Kindle Paperwhite.

Danger Price: In my opinion the level of difficulty here was medium. The washer and dryer was clearly more expensive than the danger price and the foosball table was clearly less expensive than the danger price. But the $1607 really could have gone either way between the Acer laptop and the accessories. I would have won but this was a reasonable loss. Not my favorite prizes except the washer and dryer. I'd normally like a laptop but 13 inches is too small for my liking.

Cliffhangers: Nice win of some nice prizes

Squeeze Play: Nice win of a nice Lake Tahoe trip.

Pass the Buck: Bummer of a way to end the show. It's disappointing that the Volkswagen Jetta wasn't won but it's more of a bummer that nothing was won. I'd have used my second pick unless I got $5000 on my first pick. Sometimes a risk doesn't pay off :(

Showcases: The Subaru showcase was the better showcase and I'm really glad it was won.

Lineup: Very good: To lead off a week with Any Number is totally awesome baby! Bonkers, Danger Price and Cliffhangers are all favorites. And although Squeeze Play isn't my favorite game I do enjoy it as long as it is not the lead off hitter or closer. What prevents this lineup from earning a strong rating is that Pass the Buck is a terrible closer. I'm not a Pass the Buck fan because of how luck based it is. It is a particularly bad closer because of its letdown potential. It's a big letdown anytime nothing is won on this game. Overall a very good lineup.

Overall: With 3 wins, including a car game win, a car showcase won, a very good lineup, and the overall greatness of the Any Number segment that good show today.

Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

Today's show was good... Bonkers...it maybe the argument for adding Five or Ten more seconds in case a player drops discs or has mobility issues.

Really? Why not? Is it because showing a loss would look embarrassing?

Pretty good show today.

And I noticed Charlene (Danger Price) had one of the old later Barker-era door designs on the back of her shirt.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Or maybe just making sure that Drew tells the contestant at the beginning that if the paddle fails to stay not to worry about getting it before going to hit the button?  He tried to tell Todd that during the game but by then he was too focused on the game to hear or pay attention to Drew.

I wonder if using magnets would be better than velcro. Either that or they need some new velcro, seems to be happening quite a bit lately.

Todd's technique on Bonkers, dropping the paddles notwithstanding, was as good as it gets.  It's a shame he didn't realize that 2 ATVs often have "98" as the last 2 digits, making for only 4 logical choices:  LLHH, LHHH, HLHH, and HHHH.  Had he known, he'd have had the game won in under 15 seconds.

Methinks you do not know as well as you think you do what "irony" is.

Today's show was good... Bonkers...it maybe the argument for adding Five or Ten more seconds in case a player drops discs or has mobility issues.

No, it really isn't.  Drew tried his best to get Todd to leaves the paddles on the floor because he knew where they belonged, and if a contestant had mobility issues, they wouldn't be called until after Bonkers, anyway.
