Wowza! She was only $116 away from the ARP of that Toyota in Card Game; would this be the closest Card Game win we've ever seen, or have we seen closer differences than that?

There was an $11 difference way back on October 14, 1976, but adjusting for inflation, the record is $25 from April 29, 2016.

Someone came $11 away in 1976. But cars were $3K-$5K around then—the smallest amount in the special deck at the time was a whopping $200.

The closest in the modern era was from Season 44: a $25 difference.

"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

I'm not entirely sure why they did it, but the intro shot being of the rafters and then coming down to Drew was a fun nostalgia trip.

I miss when they use to do that shot after Bob would come through the doors and the camera pans the lights in the rafters down to Bob and Janice enters the shot giving him his microphone.

I miss some of the angle shots they use to do back then.
I even miss the shot used for the train and tugboat.

For some strange missing, the boom camera was missing today.  So that takes-away the sweeping opening shot that picks-up Drew and spins around to see George.   No idea why they wouldn't have that available but they did a nice job of covering for it

The simplest (and likeliest) explanation was that there was some mechanical problem with the jib, and rather than call off the taping they simply used floor cameras like they did before season 36. Will be interesting to see if the jib is MIA tomorrow.

Best I can tell, the jib camera was used during the opening spiel, so unless it malfunctioned on the fly, they did the entrance-ceiling-mic handoff sequence just because they remembered they can. :P
Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.

I’m glad they did, for whatever reason. I like seeing the host walk directly toward the camera, with that sequence of shots following. Classic. :)

Marisa should've taken the $8,000 and left; that would've been a wise choice, with both Lose Everythings remaining on the board.

With a $19,000+ car on the board and only a 50% shot at losing, the correct game theory play would have to be to choose another number.
