Don't worry, I have a friend who occasionally slips up and refers to the Focus as an "Escort".. Not that much of a stretch, since the Escort was the father of the Focus.

Or, there's what I said the other night, when I saw a Focus that had been paining black and pink (complete with a "DREAM GIRLS" decal in the back window and a pink sequined license plate frame): "Your grandfather was a Pinto!"
In loving and eternal memory of a truly beautiful goddess.

I don't mind if they add balloons and "35th Year on CBS" graphics to the set (in fact, I welcome it), but I sure hope they don't change the overall design of the current set which, for the most part, has been in effect since the beginning of year 31 in September 2002.  I love the design of the doors.  They're very colorful and beautiful and I hope they retain that for year 35.  I hated the design of the doors during year 30, 2001-2002.  The actual "The Price Is Right" logo was too small.

A 35th Anniversary Primetime Special would be great, but I would want them to use the one hour format (3 games, Showcase Showdown #1, 3 more games, Showcase Showdown #2, Showcases) like they did with the 30th Anniversary Special in Las Vegas in January 2002 rather than a half hour format (3 games, Showcases) mixed in with 20 minutes of clips and spread over a one hour block of programming, like they did in 1996 with the 25th Anniversary Special.  The best thing to do would be a *two hour* special.  That way they could use the one hour format and show a lot of clips too.  I just hope they bring out some new clips.  For the most part, we've been seeing the same ones over and over again.  With 34 years of episodes, there should be a lot of classic and funny moments we haven't seen in some time.  Heck, show some clips from the James, Kennedy, and Davidson shows too.

One thing I've always liked about the six Specials from 1986 is the colored spotlights around the doors.  I wish they would bring those back, even if only on Primetime Specials and Million Dollar Spectaculars.

Yes. The Escort sold from 1981 up to 2003. Even though the Focus started production in 2000, the Escort continued to sell, mainly to fleets and rental car depots. The Focus now replaces the Escort as Ford's compact car.

No, no, no, Adam; you didn't get the joke.  Think escort service.  I knew the generational thing; I was trying to insert a little humor into it that apparently is too dry for anyone around here to follow. :-)
