priceguy's time is up yet again.

geniusinmath: $1,221
wpghi5: $1,407
TPIRfan#9821: $1,408

Actual retail price...

$6,143! TPIRfan#9821! Come on up on stage! Now you may have noticed that things on this show have been big. Grand I say! And it keeps getting bigger, better and grander, with this!...:

Announcer: A new car!!!

The 2019 Volvo S90 Inscription T8 eAWD! Comes with standard equipment plus these options!: Onyx Black Metallic, 20" 10-spoke Silver Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels, Amber Nappa Leather Seating, Luxury Package, Premium Package, Rear Air Suspension, Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound System and Graphical Heads Up Display, the Volvo S90!

Isn't that a beautiful car?! It will be yours if you do not strike out. You're playing 3 Strikes!

The numbers in the price of the car are 2, 5, 6, 8 and 9. And of course we have to put that dreaded strike in the bag. I'll mix them up and you'll reach in and hopefully pull out a number and tell us where it belongs in the price of the car. If you pull that strike out of the bag three times it's game over, no car for you, but we hope that won't happen. Reach into that bag and pull out a number!

Randomizer in effect. Pick a number 1-6. Each disc corresponds with a number.

...Oh boy! I wasn't expecting a 3-car show  :D

Anyways, I'll draw a 1.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

HYO total winnings: $probably like $200k + Canadian dollars

Real life winnings: $300 + $800 in gift cards

And he pulls out...

X

*MRRRRRP*

Strike one. Not off to a good start. Reach in there and pull out a number!

(Discs are re-randomized for each draw because obviously you wouldn't pick 1 again otherwise :P)

I'm going to be just too funny and put the 2 in the #2 slot. It would be too much of a shame to shove as many 2's in a couple short sentences, only to realize that I got too self absorbed to talking about the number 2 to win 3 Strikes. :P

...That actually makes me very happy. Not only did my lame puns work, but I think I've deduced the price down to two options.

In the words of DJ Khaled, another 1.

Let's try the third slot.

*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT*

So, I'm pretty sure I know the price now. Not much I can do but hope that the assumptions I made were right and I don't strike out.

I'll stick to the 1 train.

Let's move a slot over to the tens digit.

We wanna see that 6 in the tens position!...

And we do! Very good! You keep pulling those numbers out and that car is yours!
