The Price Is Right: 123123123 style (S2, Episode 3)
« on: March 15, 2020, 05:43:29 PM »
Hello all, first off, I hope everyone is trying their best to be safe and aware of their own health with everything going on. My best wishes go out to all that have been affected.

With that being said, Numbers is back to host another half hour episode of TPiR!!

Last time out, we had some highs and some lows, but that's all in the past now.

In case anyone has forgotten, here are the rules

*Sign-ups will last for 72 hours (so it will start 3/18 around 5pm)
*Contestants will get a PM from me when they are called down or up on stage
*You will have 24 hours to submit your response
*The audience is allowed, even expected to help
*Above all else, have fun and relax

*Finally, to win a spot in the First Four, we've got a quick 30 second interview just like our parent source. In 13 words or less (not including the obligatory "I'm in"), tell me what pricing you'd hope to play on the show and why. Get creative, but remember I'm counting.  :-)

And with that, come one and all, join in the fun!

I'm in.

The Phone Home Game because I want to split my earnings with others! :P
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

Gonna continue the retired game trend:

Give or Keep because I like to make decisions.

Ten Chances because it's sooooooo easy if you know the zero rule.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Wow, great turnout! With so many people signed up already and it only being a half hour show, I'll push the start date forward a day to tomorrow afternoon.

The Phone Home Game, but I wanna play from home, cause social distancing
Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

The signups are officially closed, it is now time to start the show

********************************************************

{theme starts as the camera looks over the crowd}

Announcer: PatrickRox80, come on down!!!

JayC, come on down!!!

gamesurf, come on down!!!

and TPIRfan#9821, come on down!!!

You are the first four contestants on The Price is Right!!!!!

{loud applause}

And now, the host that proves letters are overrated, 123123123!!!

{door 2 opens and walks out}
{Rachel hands mic}
{loud applause}

1233: Good afternoon everyone! From what I heard in line, we definitely have a very knowledgeable group of players today.

2 separate people brought up the Phone Home Game and your host is a bit ashamed to admit that they had to actually look it up to re-jog the failing memory.  :-)

Probably not a great look for me, but it speaks volumes about all of you. Let's just hope we can turn all that knowledge into big winnings!!

{audience cheers}

With all that being said, let's see what the first item up for bids today.

{turntable turns}

Announcer: It's a modern rocking horse!! {modeled by Amber}

This 28" tall modern rocking horse is made from rotational molded polyethylene, features a molded saddle with foot rests and is a perfect addition to your equestrian based play room!! Don't have a equestian based play room, you say? Then I suggest changing your priorities and getting started on yours, you're already behind on the trend!  :-D

{applause}

1233: As always, what you do with your prizes is your business. ;-)

Also as always, we are looking for the best price without going over from the four of you. We will start with you, TPIRfan#9821

Bidding Order:
TPIRfan#9821 --------->
gamesurf ---------->
JayC ---------->
PatrickRox80 ----------->

{screams from crowd}

You know what? I'm going to just turn my name around and go $1,289, since you fools don't understand my years of rocking horse experience that rocking horses can get expensive.

Or I'm just being aggressive as the first bidder because I don't want to get upped. If I ever get on the show, that's going to be my downfall.
