Highlight of the show was during Bulls-Eye, a large portion of the crowd was chanting "3 SUNNY D! 3 SUNNY D!" Sure enough, it was right for the W. Good stuff.

At least the second half of today's show was pre-empted on WCBS New York by Governor Cuomo.

Bullseye: Thank goodness the audience got involved, as Maria wasn't doing very well on her own.

Rat Race: Nice win! Anabel just barely made it within $10 on the second item. Her guess of $120 for the third item worked but was a bit unfortunate, as it was unlikely the coffee grinder was going to be $20.

Gas Money: Ouch. This game is now 5-37 in the last four seasons (including this one), for a 11.90% winning percentage. That's barely half of what it would be by straight up random chance. If you exclude the 4 bailouts in those four seasons, it's 5-32, for a 13.16% winning rate, still nowhere near the 20% you'd expect just randomly.

Adam, a couple of typos:

* "Citrus punch" is misspelled in Bullseye
* The Rat Race graphic shows the pink rat winning the robotic vacuums, when it did not.

Gas Money is needlessly difficult for a game not being played for a luxury vehicle. For the most part it just requires 4 lucky guesses to win.

At least the second half of today's show was pre-empted on WCBS New York by Governor Cuomo.
WCBS pre-empted everything after Drew introducing the first item up for bids beginning with Governor Murphy's briefing followed by Cuomo.

Gas Money is needlessly difficult for a game not being played for a luxury vehicle. For the most part it just requires 4 lucky guesses to win.
With $10,000 plus the car to be won they're not going to make it easy.

Marla wasted the first two chances choosing way too many of the cake mix and burritos, but she redeemed herself nicely with the Sunny D.

I'm shocked the bailout rate is 4-33.

I wonder how much higher the bailout rate would be if Gas Money were played with the original rules. I bet you'd see far more people get nervous and bail instead of falling victim to "just one more syndrome".

(I'm sure the modified ruleset is better for the budget though!)
Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

Anabel had the really weird one bid too. Bids were $650, $651, $652 then she went $350. Thought for sure she’d follow suit with $653, but she didn’t. And it worked.

Strange one bid and third prize guess, but she got all 3 and won. Good for her.
