Ratings Thread Locked?

I was going to post a reply in the ratings thread on The Talk is Right portion of the board but couldn't only to find the thread locked. Ratings are something that is rarely discussed on this forum and I wanted to chime in. Why was the thread locked? Is there a place for me to post a reply to one of the comments that was not off-topic?

If you read the whole thread, it spiraled way off topic and became a political discussion. Since politics are frowned upon, and since the thread was too far derailed after one warning, it was locked. In in interests of keeping the peace and civility, it is best if that thread stays locked.
 
It is, therefore, a closed discussion.
