Question About BigJon TPIR Error
« on: February 27, 2021, 04:51:38 AM »
Hello All,

I'll keep this short and sweet. I've set up a virtual machine to play BigJon's TPIR, and it's been a blast. Playing in the Tournament Mode works flawlessly, however, whenever I play a game in the TV Mode, the game stalls in Contestant's Row. The music plays, everything WANTS to work, but it's hung up. Is there a fix? The other BigJon games that I have during my testing all work flawlessly. I appreciate any help. Thanks everyone!

TL;DR: BigJon's TPIR game freezes when I play in the TV Mode

First off, this isn't a forum for fangame tech support.

Second, Flash is no longer supported. It ended earlier this month.

If the issue is the flash error issue, manually change the date and time to go back 1 year's time.

This will get the games moving.

Or, better idea: stop playing that illegal piece of crap game (since that game was taken down by Fremantle years ago and legally isn't supposed to exist) and go play one of the many officially licensed versions instead.

Flash was discontinued for a very good reason (it's an outdated, buggy security nightmare, and BigJon's games were written using an extremely old version); using the "go back in time" method defeats the purpose of why it was killed to begin with.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.
