Was this the first time the items in Grand Game - or, for that matter, any game besides Grocery Game - were themed?

Did The Price is Right get new Executive Producers? I noticed at the end of today's show, there were 2 new names in the Executive/ Co-Executive Producer credits instead of Evelyn Warfel and Adam Sandler..

The Turntable looked absolutely gorgeous today.  I know it wouldn't make sense to have a garden scene on there every day, but it all meshed together so well that I couldn't complain if they did it anyway.

Under the header of "weird observations," when Marie and Scarlette spun 95 after saying hello to their dogs, they sounded like dogs.  I don't mean that as an insult, either -- the two of them were literally yipping as they walked over to the scoreboard.  I have to assume that's just a thing the two of them do, and it didn't even bother me -- it was just really strange timing.

I was shocked by the price in Lucky $even.  I thought for sure they'd want that convertible won today.

Kudos to whoever decided to list almost everyone's mother in the credits.  (Also, why was it almost everyone?  Some sort of union requirement, maybe?)

I love it when the older pricing games get love. Grand Game was the youngest pricing game in the line-up, just a few days shy of it's 31st birthday!

Bonus points for having the first three pricing games on the same show!

Or possibly some members that for some reason don't acknowledge their mothers?  Either someone who grew up without parents, or just have stopped speaking to a parent(s).  No clue if that is the case, but it does happen in general, so it is a possibility.

I figured it may have been a situation where someone may have been raised by their father and sadly never connected with their mothers (there might be on speaking terms but maybe those that were excluded were due to a lack of comfort or other reasons).  Not a case of being disowned, or a situation where one's mother is deceased & there wasn't a definitive connection between mom and child; either way it's sad, but it is what it is.

Nonetheless, it was very nice of the staff to list the mothers of most of the cast and crew.  Sorta reminded me of ESPN programming and SportsCenter on Mother's Days in the past where instead of listing one's occupation or Twitter handle, they replaced those with son of / daughter of [Name of their mothers].

As mentioned, the set looked completely gorgeous, coupled with an awesome line-up.  I don't know off the top of my head, but outside of Decades Week and other specials, this may have been the first episode in quite a while where all the pricings games were exclusively from the shows first 8 seasons

Really nice show today, loved how they decorated the set for Mother's Day and the mother/child duos were all enjoyable. Also liked how the lineup was filled with classic games, including all of the games played on the very first episode.

Great win on an easy Grand Game setup to start the show.

Very tricky price in Lucky $even which is unusual for a special episode. At least they went high on the 2nd digit to not be in a bad spot early, but the low numbers for the 3rd and 4th digits and the 9 for the last digit was just mean.

Also a nice touch to have the mothers of the staff and crew listed in the credits.

Was this the first time the items in Grand Game - or, for that matter, any game besides Grocery Game - were themed?

Probably a coincidence, but in this Bonus Game playing from December 30, 2011, the four small prizes all made something you would consume: A burger maker, coffee brewer (maker), donut hole maker and a sno cone maker.

EDIT: Thinking it over, I wonder if they wanted to slot Grocery Game instead of Grand Game and changed their minds for some reason? 🤔
