End of an era for sure.  Not a surprise though; this year just wasn't the same with Doc.


Looks like your prediction came true, but at least Montreal gave it their cinderella run and they had chances late in the 3rd to tie it up. My hope though given that a Canadian team is back in the Stanley Cup Final gives me hope that Canada will end its drought eventually.

Well, they can.  As mentioned, the structure was unique this year; I wonder if Montreal or any Canadian team would've reached this point in a regular year.  For instance, maybe they upset Pittsburgh again, but I don't think they surpass Washington or the Islanders.  Obviously they die against Tampa, but they'd fall for sure against Boston (due to a better team and a little tradition)
