WIN! (0:21). So apparently there was a goof up backstage. The original guess of HLHL was correct, however, Rachel was buzzed, leading to the change to HHHL. So, at 21 seconds, the bells go off signifying a win. Whoops. We don't get many tech wins anymore, so this is definitely unusual.

Recap posted.

Been a long time since we've had a tech win of this type (where the mistake is noticed mid-game).

Why does the airdate have ? marks

We have not had updated calendars much this season. The CBS one was only updated through October 8. Not much I can do.

This was a great episode, with a whole bunch of wins, a blooper in Bonkers, and a fantastic contestant in Suzy...but the most interesting part of the show for me was that throughout the program, something was noticeably wrong with the Turntable.  I couldn't figure out exactly what for the longest time -- I just knew there were some lights flashing during Coming or Going and Master Key that were really freaking distracting.

I finally realized what it was during the second Showcase Showdown, and the explanation is almost as weird as the problem itself -- one quarter of the lights on the front of the "doorframe" were running a chase sequence.  Every couple seconds, every fourth bulb was flashing...which probably wouldn't have looked all that weird, except that only that part of the chase was active.  None of the other three sets of lights in the pattern were doing anything.

So yeah, that happened.  It doesn't really mean much, and I have no idea what caused it.  I just hope they got it fixed before they taped tomorrow's show, because it was pretty darn annoying. :P
