What a win on One Away (One of my favorites which used to be my most favorite before To The Penny debuted) I personally had the car at $17,746 and after I would have gotten the epic silence after asking for all the numbers right I would have changed the 6 to an 8 because I thought I would have had the hundreds right and would not have won the car.

Time for the avatar change. :)

Drew seemed in a weird mood today. He seemed frustrated after the losses in Safe Crackers and Secret "X", that by the time he got to Stack the Deck he was just ready to rip on the game, more so than he usually does.

What a sight to behold, a One Away exacta. Don't see those very often.

Pretty easy win in Push Over too; not many viable options and even Drew said so himself.

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

SIDE BY SIDE:  “You can’t break it; this thing’s been around forever.” :-D

Unless they recycled some of the parts of the original prop, it’s only been around for a couple of years!

Drew might have had to restrain himself from actually ripping the Stack The Deck set had the contestant played the grocery part of the game perfectly only to lose anyway.  I still had optimism (albeit very mild optimism) that she'd get lucky enough to win the game.

Speaking of that contestant, despite Emily's performance in the game, I was actually rooting for her to at least get out of contestants row.  Not only it gave us a first six sweep, but she was so energetic & emulated such a positive, natural-feeling attitude IMO throughout her time of the show.  Regardless of the win-loss stat, it's fun to see people in such great spirits mixed in with a substantial amount of personal excitement.

Speaking of excitement & optimism, as mentioned, the perfection in One Away was just that.  While I thought to myself that it would be pretty neat to see the game won on the first try, it was a very pleasant surprise when Lucas won right away.

At the end of the day (sorry for the pun), it was a good show with two great bids on close out things.  That was fair enough after tough breaks in Safe Crackers and Secret X, even though there's no telling how the latter would've played out with three X's to work with
