CSS18 PLAYOFF LEADERBOARD
« on: May 20, 2022, 12:09:16 PM »
You know the drill!

Based on show count we have 5 leftover shows to play with, which is plenty. 7/4 is one, it looks like 6/21 will be a summer special as well, and there is presumably one leftover show to fill in. The bugaboo would be when reruns start, we won't have an exact idea until the day of, thanks to basically zero scheduling updates this season. But this SHOULD be a smooth playoffs.

After 4 games. I'm going to be forced into playing some uncomfortable SCs soon, especially with the must play 3 out of last 5 rule.

After 7 games. At this point, Tris's 90.24 is kinda costly compared to Cephas's 94.57. It could be one of those playoffs where it's decided on the margins like that (a lot of SCs that are very hard to DSW but also easy to avoid an over), but there's still plenty of time for DSWs/overs to shift the current hierarchy at the top.

There's the seismic shift at the top as we cross the halfway point.

Another over from Cephas (I was REALLY glad to skip these SCs today!) and no DSW from Tris has me in the driver's seat, but anything can still happen.

I feel pretty good if I can avoid an over, but things can change in an instant.

Those tough SCs today chased me into using a final skip, 9821 tried to play but was late, and I think he doesn't regret that. But now the finale where we must play the remainder...

9821, I feel ya on sleeping through the show... but you've made this anticlimactic, methinks. :P

Of course, shocking QSWs on the last day have flipped the final standings more than once.

This'll be my last post in this thread, I'll combine final leaderboard into tomorrow's post.
