And when Pat tries it out, it inevitably won't work!
(can they do that? have a letter "lit up" but not "touchable"?)

That has been possible for years now, based on this clip from 2015:
CSS: Exacta, 6/3/2019
Lifetime earnings: $1,896,732
Season 18 cash earnings: $629,243
Season 19 cash earnings: $490,110
FPG: 2019-2020 Finals Champion

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Here's some more about the new puzzleboard. Of note is the transition from graphics to the puzzleboard... at first glance, I thought the "blocks" were actually trilons! (would have been a nice throwback)

edit: Also looks like they simplified the "marble" texture on the blanks.

We just had the first two uses of the special XL wedge in the main game. It couldn't be taken to the Bonus Round, but two contestants were able to call a letter for the top dollar value. It was also a close game by the time we got to the Final Spin.

Unfortunately, we also had our first $100,000 loss...though in my opinion, it didn't sting quite as much this week when there are more chances for a big win. Three more days to go in the first week!

Oh tonight's episode HURT.   And she had to forfeit the Wild Card to the Bankrupt.   Another OUCH.

XL now comes into play in the Bonus Round with a bonus $40K! Even better, I think the contestant knew the answer to the bonus puzzle before picking his letters. :P

He picked the right category, thinking PERSON and THING had the harder puzzles.   Even I had no problem with that puzzle too.

It’s bizarre to see a $120,000+ winner without any confetti.

It was a good first week with a lot of winning this week, despite a tragic second episode in Bonus Land.

I really thought Brooke was doomed when he picked WHAT ARE YOU DOING for Bonus Land Friday.   That is a category I would NOT pick if it was a choice.

If tonight's winner Tanino's name sound familiar to some people (me included), he was contestant on the 4th week of "The $25,000 Pyramid" in 1982 with Betty White.

I'm wondering right now: the tough puzzles in Bonus Land have gotten solved by some sharp contestants this season.   I'm in awe on what's happening right now.

Tough puzzles indeed. I only got one of the three puzzles so far this week.

I actually got today's puzzle...on one of my favorite categories in Bonus Land.   Sadly enough to say I did NOT get Brooke's puzzle last Friday.

The last few Bonus puzzles, I've been noticing you needed to be letter perfect in the consonants.   YIKES!!!!

Looking at tonight's Bonus Puzzle, from my honest opinion, it was a bad choice the hard way.   The second word was very tough.   Methinks they are putting the more difficult puzzles in.

"What Are You Doing" claims its 1st victim of the season. Pat saying "They had a great night", DOES NOT change the fact that the $100,000 or the Million was landed on.
