Came across this on YouTube. Sounds like Rod was involved in some controversy back in his pre-LA Texas DJ days. Interesting interview but also interesting to see Rod with groovy long hair so significantly pre-Price. Thought you all would enjoy seeing this if you haven’t, especially since you see Rod right around the time Price premiered.

So essentially, Rod was the Howard Stern of his generation.

Yes, he was an early "shock jock".  Not too much material exists from the era, but there is a great air check from his early radio years in 1960 as host of "The Rod Roddy Show"
