I don't know.  It'd put Michigan in that second spot.  Ohio State nearly lost to a 1-win team.  At least they looked horrible.  I'd put Michigan in that 2 spot.  Wouldn't be surprised to see Tennessee in the 4 spot over TCU (who'd be 5th).

Speaking of Tennessee, talk about consolation.  With Clemson going down to Notre Dame, I think the Vols are playoff-bound if they win out.  That's assuming Georgia wins out or drops no more than one game

Yes, you can definitely make the case for putting Michigan #2 and Ohio State #3 based on the better win today. I'm just thinking they wouldn't penalize Ohio State for winning or have Michigan jump from out of the top 4 to #2, but who knows. Tennessee #4 over TCU could happen, but I think TCU deserves to get that spot since they won and Tennessee lost and didn't play well.

Gotta wait until Tuesday evening to find out!

In the meantime, The 10th AP Poll has TCU inside the Top 5, Tennessee down to 5, and the 2 Big 10 powerhouses inside the Top 3.  Georgia is still top dog.  Alabama down to 10, and Notre Dame up to 20

CFB Playoff: Second rankings have Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, TCU, and Tennessee in the Top 5 spots.  Tennessee probably needs TCU to lose as the Big Game on 11/26 may not be enough to get in if they win out

Eatly games on 11-12-22: It looked like Missouri was going to make it a contest with #5 Tennessee, but then Hendon Hooker and his weapons kept on the accelerator. 66-24 Vols the final. The O/U (56-1/2) was blown out of the water. #2 Ohio State easily took care of Indiana, 56-14.

It will be Georgia and LSU in Atlanta for the SEC crown. Georgia took care of Mississippi State last night while LSU squeaked by Arkansas.

^Meanwhile, Ole Miss fell to Alabama which indeed sent LSU to the SEC title game.

Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, TCU, and Tennessee all won, so the top 5 will very likely stay the same. Maybe Tennessee jumps over TCU since they had a much more convincing win, but TCU did beat a ranked team on the road. The #6 team Oregon lost to Washington, which makes their playoff hopes all but over.

And, in Division II NCAA Football, the Ashland University Eagles are your 2022 outright Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season champions following a 41-10 victory over the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Senior Day Saturday. It's the first conference championship since 2012 for the Purple and Gold.

Georgia goes to Kentucky this week (3:30 PM ET, CBS) and are giving 20. Then they come home to Athens to host Georgia Tech.

Ohio State is at Maryland this Saturday (3:30 PM ET, ABC)  and giving 27, then they host Michigan to finish the regular season.

Michigan hosts Illinois Saturday  (12 Noon ET, ABC) giving 17, then they visit the Buckeyes.

TCU is a 2-point underdog at Baylor this Saturday (12 Noon ET, Fox), then they're home against Iowa State.

Tennessee is giving 21 and a hook to South Carolina (7 PM ET, ESPN), then they visit Vanderbilt.

Any upsets in the making? Anything can happen on any given Saturday, so since I stink at predictions, let the chips fall where they may.

Saturday's Coastal Carolina/Virginia game may be postponed (or perhaps a moment of silence beforehand) upon news that a former Cavalier player, Chris Jones, shot and killed three active players Sunday. Jones is now in custody.

I'd be shocked if they even played another game for the remainder of the season.  A factor to that is that they're official bowl ineligible.  Meanwhile, one of their opponents is also going to be finishing with a losing record, while the other one (the mentioned Coastal Carolina) clinched its division.  If Virginia can't go, CC might have to find another opponent but I don't know for sure whether they factor in conference records or overall records with the Sun Belt Championship Game being hosted by the best record, conference or overall.

So maybe surprised, not shocked, is the better word choice, but what's definite and more important is the lives & well-beings of the UVA community (as well as all human beings) over football or any sport.  I'm pretty saddened over this incident.  Just a horrible situation, period.

Jumped the gun here, folks. My original post on the game was from SportsCenter early this morning. Upon hearing the presser with coach Tony Elliott, the game for the time being is still on. They will decide on it later in the week.

Whatever they decide it will be understanding.  I think it's mainly feel as it relates to how the rest of the team & community are feeling.  It is Senior Week, and if the team feels up for it, they might play for the school & for the kids.  If they don't that's fine.  Life is more important than football.  Coastal Carolina might need the game since the Sun Belt Championship Game isn't on a neutral field & CC clinched its division but not necessarily homefield.  However, whatever the people making the call decide to do is fair enough and I supportive of whatever the final decision is between playing or cancelling the game.

As for the rankings, as is the custom at the midway point of the weekly release (due to the annual Champions Classic), those are being released in a couple of hours later than normal.  Around 9 PM Eastern or at some point between Michigan State/Kentucky AND Duke/Kansas.  In the meantime, here is the Week 11 AP Poll as well as the Coaches Poll

To summarize:

1. Georgia, OSU, Michigan, TCU, Tennessee 1-5
2. Oregon, UCLA tumble
3. Clemson, Washington, & UFC rise
4. Texas & Illinois are out
5. Coastal Carolina & Cincinnati are in
