For a 1/6 day, this show had a few oddities:
  • I only knew to pass the buck to the tea because that 50-cent pie appeared in To The Penny earlier this season. That is the cheapest grocery item to appear in the game since at least Season 40.
  • Yay that Drew's handing out the $500 for a perfect bid again!
  • It's already noted in the recap, but a correct choice of Flip Flop hasn't happened in over five years, so that was a surprise.
  • Drew needs to be more careful with Line 'em Up. After the contestant made their first guess, he asked Rachel if the contestant won it. Although the model has the price, they aren't supposed to reveal it until the bells ring or the contestant locks in their second guess. I can see a model inadvertently revealing the price before the game ends because Drew essentially told them to - and that would certainly be a moment.

"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

Yeah that could've been a bigtime disaster for Drew there.  Well, not a big time but not a blunder the staff would've been a fan of.  Sorta reminded me of Bob's Pick A Pair mistake nearly 4 decades ago.  Fortunately it was Rachel with the price tag so the chances were very minimal to none that she would've flipped it IMO.

I was (pleasantly) surprised to see Carey handing out the perfect bid cash again.  I figured that was going to be one of the things that might have stayed permanent post-COVID but it's so nice seeing the host give away cash on the spot.  Right before a rather painful loss, but whatever.

I guess it's easy to say it behind a computer, but I totally bolt with $5000.  Sure one has a 60% chance of escaping with something at the spot James was at. It's just that 80% of the options were less favorable.  At least it's not Punch a Bunch where you'd be risking $5,000 (not factoring in the Lose Everything cards); it worked out in the end

Boy, that Flip was a nasty shock.

Another strong lineup that ends up being a low-winnings (and maybe more importantly, just low-energy) show. Although they do like Shell & Line a bit too much together - 10 of its 14 times both have been played in the same lineup have come since Season 44, despite Line premiering in S26.

Pass The Buck! One of my favorite games. I always like seeing one than one pick, and today there was some suspense; another good thing. $6,000 is a nice amount, and an unusual figure to hear out loud. :-)

And I agree. Great to see the $500 exact bid bonus handed out in cash again.

For a 1/6 day, this show had a few oddities:

One more thing that bugs me but isn't necessarily rare - repeating numbers in the car for Line ' Em Up is not nice. Repeating numbers that you have to pick to win is pretty mean.

I'm hoping the Flop and Flop happens much more regularly again, though it did feel weird for it to suddenly start happening on a trip rather than another 4-digit item.
