I again enjoyed hearing those classic music cues during Back To ‘73. I distinctly remember the second one being regularly used for the first small prize in Plinko.

Fantastic winning bid in the Showcase round. “You win BOTH showcases!” :-)

Seeing today's show hit me kind of hard, because 35 years ago today I lost my maternal grandfather to lung cancer

Well, we found out why the Grammies SC was yesterday. They didn't do the usual Breast Cancer show on Oct 1, but this was still out of the blue. No video promotion, no tweet, nothing to say this was coming.

While this was a pleasant set of pricing games & setups (TTM was meant to be easier as well), I just think quick-TTM is such a bad ending to any lineup. I would have liked to see Cover or OA today.

I imagine the budget might be really hurting right now - that DSW was really unexpected! And thanks to MoL's other prizes, he managed to get into six digits! That was quite an exciting end to the week.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Thomas was kind enough to pass the car to Cicely in the Showcase...only to score it back with a DSW.

That would've been good redemption for Cicely, and some accessories can get expensive, so even though I got Do The Math right, I can understand her choice.

Still, with the way Thomas handled everything, he deserved that More or Less win and the DSW. :-)

4 out of 6 is very good and even better a DSW. To me, it is a great showing. Nice special indeed. Congrats on Thomas as well. Keep the recaps going Adam. You are doing an awesome job.

Seeing today's show hit me kind of hard, because 35 years ago today I lost my maternal grandfather to lung cancer

I feel that. 33 years ago this week I lost my grandfather to colon cancer. The jolt of that as a kid has never left me. And since then I've lost 2 grandmothers and my great-grandfather to cancer. My aunt's leukemia is currently back, and my daughter's is in remission. Strange how loved ones fighting cancer becomes a regular part of life.

Regardless, I'm glad that the show does something like this. Cancer survivors and their families certainly have something to celebrate. And folks need to take warning signs seriously.

My paternal grandmother passed with stomach cancer in 2011 and my mother with lung cancer in 2018 so I share a lot of the sentiments as others. I've always appreciated when the show does these kind of specials.
