Well we have the usual PR conflict. Mayim is saying the producers told her she wasn't coming back in her instagram post, Sony says we'd love to have her back again.

It's pretty common in situations like this to make some sort of nonspecific "we'll be working with this person again on other projects" statement. Either those projects get buried or never come to pass at all. It certainly sounds like Mayim is not inclined to work with them again, for whatever reason.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about his approach to hosting Celebrity Jeopardy!, Ken has weighed in on Mayim's departure by saying that the departure caught him off guard.

Another good summary from McNear about the current understanding of the situation. I thought this line was particularly interesting:

Quote
The staff was also fond of her, with reports of her surprise delivery of cupcakes for the crew early in her hosting tenure leaked immediately to the Daily Mail.

This conflicts with some of the other reports that her relationship with the staff had deteriorated due to her prima donna behavior.

It also quotes a report from TMZ (take this with salt) that Mayim was opposed to Michael Davies' hiring.

Mayim apparently had some disagreements with management, but I don't remember seeing reports that she was unkind to staff.
