Drew did not bring up the win record today or that we were approaching a perfect show heading into Game 6. There could be a few reasons for this:
  • He knew Plinko was the last game and didn't want to address it. This seems unlikely because Drew has claimed to not look at the lineup before the show.
  • He did make mention of it, but it was edited out because Plinko was the last game and lost.
  • He didn't realize that we had gone 5/5 in pricing games.
If it's the last one, someone on the staff needs to give him a heads up before the final game.
Is there any reason to assume Drew worries about the arcane and ultimately meaningless debate over "winning" Plinko? If, as suggested elsewhere, New Year's mentions were added in, could it simply be a matter of removing something superfluous to add in some comments?

And more to the point, is it consequential if, on occasion, he doesn't note the 5 wins thus far?

It was pointed out in chat that mentions of the New Year were all done off camera and are suspected to be recordings edited in later.

I went back and checked, and you're right.  That actually makes a lot more sense.

That truck in the first showcase must have an MSRP of close to $40K since the tv was nothing special and a three night trip to Vegas at a mid-range hotel is usually an IUFB prize and not a showcase trip.

Guys,

Wouldn't Plinko always kill a perfect show, since the odds of hitting the center slot with all five chips is next to impossible? Who doesn't love Pinko? But for the show stats, it's a valid point, If you want a perfect show, you can't put Plinko in the line up, (realistically) for the odds so far against hitting the center slot five times.
