Some of you may be familiar with some of David Sanborn's music during the Local Forecast segments of The Weather Channel, including "Breaking Point", "Let's Just Say Goodbye", and "Lotus Blossom". IIRC I've heard perhaps his most famous composition, "The Dream" on the network before even if its unconfirmed according to TWC Classics.

Roxanne Rosedale (known professionally simply as Roxanne), the assistant on the original Bud Collyer version of "Beat the Clock," passed away on May 2nd, 2024 at an assisted care facility in her hometown of Minneapolis at the age of 95.

Before BTC, Roxanne was also the assistant to the first-ever Goodson-Todman TV production (and CBS game show that was carried on at least two stations), Winner Take All, when it was hosted by Bud Collyer from 1948 to 1950.

A little late, but country music songwriter Wayland Holyfield, who passed May 6 at age 82.

His songs were recorded by and became major country hits for a who’s who of country music from the mid-1970s through early 1990s, including several by Don Williams (“You’re My Best Friend,” “Til the Rivers All Run Dry,” “Some Broken Hearts Never Mend” and others), plus songs by George Strait, Reba McEntire, Barbara Mandrell, Kathy Mattea, Tammy Wynette, Charley Pride, the Judds, John Anderson, Randy Travis, Conway Twitty, Johnny Rodriguez, the Oak Ridge Boys, Mel McDaniel, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and many others.
