No. He joined in 2013.

So that must be why rules aren't explained.  But what is with the lack of excitement/suspense from Drew?  Is he just wore out by the end of the day?

Drew’s style is to stand back and let the contestants shock, awe, and excitement speak for itself. If you haven’t figured that out in 17 years of him hosting the show you, frankly, never will.

I assume they omit the on camera explanation because it’s verbose and need to save time and keep the show moving.

Most people watching the show know <$251 is a double showcase win. Drew does mention the rule when players come close. I don't think we need to have the rule re-enunciated every show.

C8, point taken.  I haven't thought about it from the player's perspective.

Hard to believe that Drew has been hosting for 17 years.  Time sure does fly!

I know you meant no harm, but we cannot be allowing spoilers for a number of reasons. I can explain them if you PM me.

This was the 8 am taping on 10/18/23.

There were about 50-70 seat fillers in the audience as the crowd turn out was very light, we were offered to stay for the noon taping but decided to explore LA.

Eldon was a riot, what a nice guy to have a conversation with in the holding area. The room went bonkers at the DSW! My ears were ringing after from it. The lack of video during the one bids honestly is a really hard thing to help a contestant because you cannot hear a thing as it in, now without seeing the bids I felt helpless to scream anything. Nothing major to report on otherwise.

This article:
https://jaredsdetours.com/price-is-right

mistakenly says the DSW threshold is up to $500 below the actual retail price.  But we all know it's $250.
