pricefan1989 bids a dollar! He thinks you've all overbid! Let's see if he's right.

The actual retail price of those golf clubs is.....

That strategy paid off pricefan1989, you win! You were so close mechamind.

*Walking 2007 cue plays as pricefan1989 comes up on the stage and stands next to me*

Now pricefan1989, that is a nice set of golf clubs, but take a look at this!

*Door #2 opens*

JohnnyBot:: It's a new car!

(modeled by JaniceBot)

*MGHSH cue plays*

It's a 2024 Toyota Corolla SE! It's the compact car for those who don't have a small ego to compensate for! This Corolla comes with all the standard options plus carpet floor mats and touch keypad entry system!

mungojerry311: Thanks again JohnnyBot. We're going to be playing the Card Game for that car!

*I walk over to the table and pick up a small deck of seven cards and begin to shuffle them*

To put it simply, you'll be bidding on that car using this oversized standard deck of cards over here. But first, we must find out how close you'll have to be to the actual retail price of that car to win it. Give me a number between 1 and 7.

*I draw a card from the deck*

Ooooh, not a great card, but don't give up hope! Let me set the card down here...

And let's also see what your opening bid is...

So we know that the car is at least $20,000 in price.

*I take the oversize deck of playing cards and begin shuffling them*

Now, you'll be bidding on that car using these cards. It's quite simple. You keep drawing cards as long as you wish to add to your bid. All face cards are worth $1,000, and numbered cards are worth their value multiplied by one hundred. But aces are special, because you can make them whatever you wish. You also have the option of saving the ace for later when you draw one or using it then and there? Got it? Alright, give me a number between 1 and 10.

*I stop shuffling and spread out the deck of cards on the table*

Alright, now draw a card from the deck.

*Pricefan1989 draws a card*

You've drawn a...

...which increases your bid to...

I imagine you wish to draw another card?

You want to draw again I'm sure. Pick another number between 1 and 52.

You’re in charge, so it’s your decision, but last time I played this in a HYO, I just said “Draw until I get an Ace or until my bid is above XX,XXX, and then I’ll make another decision from there” to speed the game along.

Great idea. Here's another way I have approached this game: find an agreeable time and play out the game in chat, then report the results of the chat here.
