1233: {points to tpir04} I've seen your face around this studio before, but I can't for the life of me remember if its for good or bad reasons.  :oldlol:

Either way, come on over and flip these numbers around. We have no models here and I can't be bothered to do it myself

{moves the trilons around}

Now let's see how you did. Since we also don't have a sound crew for this game in particular, our versatile announcer will just make some car noises to indicate how well you've done. Ask for one number right.

{tpir04 asks question}

Announcer: HONK

{sarcastic applause from group as no one is remotely impressed by one number}

1233: Not bad, now let's try for 2.

{tpir04 asks next question}

Announcer: HONK

{still scattered cheers from group}

1233: Let's keep it going! Ask about 3 numbers this time.

{tpir04 asks next question}

Announcer: HONK

{a bit more sincere cheers from the group}

1233: Over halfway there!! Ask him if you have 4 numbers right

{tpir04 asks next question}

Announcer: HONK

{genuine oohs and ahhs from the group}

1233: Did tpir04 perfect a game on his way to perfecting an episode?

{group gathers around tpir04}

Ask him if you won a brand new car!!

{tpir04 asks question}

Announcer: BUZZ...or, wait I mean. Just pretend I didn't make a sound at all. Complete silence. Sorry about that.

{great disappointment from group}

1233: A bit anticlimactic there, anyways which number are you going to change tpir04?

{changes 9 to 7}

So I think we can show the first one without too much worry. Pull the cover please

{ding}

Nice, now are we dealing with a $26,000 or $24,000 car? What's the next number?

{buzz}

I was really afraid of that being the case. Show the rest of the price please.

It seems to be the end of the road for both tpir04 and mungojerry311. Thanks for coming out and I'm sure the prizes from Swap Meet are a good consolation

For the rest of you, well done indeed. We will see what awaits you after this line break!!!

{announcer rolls out game table}

1233: Our announcer is definitely working overtime, but not getting paid like it.

Anyways, let's hear about the items in the Hi Lo game today, shall we?

Announcer: That overtime line better be a joke.

First, make perfect eggs every time with 5 oz of this butter tasting cooking spray

Next, have a small cheat day on your diet with 9.2oz of this keto-friendly, low carb dry cocoa mix

Soothe that pink eye with 0.5oz of revitalizing eye drops

We also have a 16 count box of ooey, gooey rice snack bars

Protect your dry skin with 1.75oz of unscented 100% petroleum jelly

And finally, get the world's driest party started with 16 oz of cocktail peanuts

There they are, Numbers!

1233: Now if you can tell me the three most expensive items sitting on this table, I will gladly give each of you that wonderful prize over yonder!

{door 3 opens}

Announcer: It's a sturdy camping trailer!!

From SpecOps, this modular cargo, utility, and camping trailer system is ideal for use as the extreme all-in-one adventure solution.

Hauling concrete to the worksite, covered! Long weekend trip to a national park, covered! Smuggling goods cross country, covered! It's a wonderful prize worth...$7,198!!

1233: OK, so you four, let me know the 3 high items here within 48 hours and you'll have made it through the first half. Best of luck!

avoiding saying the taboo brand names!

Visine and Vaseline, we are
This Cocoa blows my mind
Hoping its price is really high

Will I lose? Will I flee?
Without Visine I can't see
Going blind, I will scream
For Cocoa and Vaseline

1233: tpirguyMN, thank you for avoiding the brand names, these companies have to understand that they can't just get free advertis....

{gamesurf breaks into brand-laced song lyrics}

...

Disregard what I just said, we need to let this man cook!!

{impromptu jam session/mini mosh pit ensues while gamesurf finishes his song}

{loud applause from fellow contestants}

Guess I can't be too mad at ads when they sound that good. Let's just use the song to see how you've done.

Don't get too mad when I royally butcher the beat though  :oldlol:

{gets singing voice warmed up}

This cocoa blows his mind...

{flips cocoa tag}

...thankful its price is really high!

Will he lose? Will he flee?

{flips eyedrops tag}

...cuz of Visine, it can't be!

Going blind, I will scream
For cocoa and...

{flips jelly tag}

...Vaseline?

A bit of a sour ending, both with the song and the jelly.

{removes first two tags}

We need everything else to be under $3.69. First off, the cooking spray goes for...

{flips tag}

{ding}

Next is the snack bars, There are a lot of them in that box. All of them costs...

{flips tag}

{buzz}

Aww man, that sucks

{flips peanuts tag}

gamesurf, if only you knew a hit about Rice Krispies, how things might have been different.

You, Pricefan1989 and pathfinder20 all got tripped up here, but I hope you had fun. That leaves us a solitary superfan, who I can only assume made the trek all the way from Minnesota, to finish this gauntlet.

The fourth game of the day will be with us right after this line break!

{walks up to turntable}

1233: Well tpirfanMN, this marks the halfway point and you're still standing. You've seen how tough it can be firsthand.

But this is no time to stop, you want to win prizes and I (more or less) want to give you some. So let's hear about what's next on the docket.

Announcer: First off, we have this 20 inch tall artificial cherry blossom tree to add some color to any room

Moving right along, we have a powerful bubble maker!!

From Bubble Masters, this bubble maker has a built in fan to propel your bubbles skyward and requires no heat up time. Plus, come on, if you don't trust the people at Bubble Masters with your bubble needs, that's on you.

Now we have a blossom and some bubbles, so hopefully you'll be able to see plenty of buttercups when we send you on a trip...

{door 3 opens}

...to Cape Town!!

You and a guest will fly round trip from Los Angeles to Cape Town, South Africa, where you will stay 7 nights at OneAndOnly Cape Town in a one deluxe room. Daily breakfast and a private guided tour on a private game reserve are included!!

1233: I'm hoping that there actually are buttercups where you'll be touring, so at least the theme makes some sense

Make Your Move is the name of the game. 2 numbers make the price of the blossom tree, 3 for the bubble maker and 4 for the trip. No overlaps for leftovers are allowed. If you get all three, you're golden!

{points to audience where eliminated players are still watching the proceedings} This guy needs your support, help him anyway you can!

Now tpirfanMN, get over there and make your move in less than 48 hours. Best of luck!

{contemplating choices}

All my eating over the years of Rice Krispi... ... er, I mean "rice snack bars" has paid off!  And, yes, it was a long trip from Minnesota for this experience!

1233, I am going to go with:
Bubble Machine:  $725
Blossom tree:  $23
Trip:  $8,623

Yeah, I would think you meant $29 for the blossom tree, right?

{tpirguyMN makes first move}

1233: Uhh...

{audience calls out issue}

{tpirguyMN laughs it off, makes change}

Ahh, should've known you were just yanking my chain.

Now, is our last remaining contestant one step closer to a perfect show, or is it the end of the road for this gauntlet?

Only one way to find out, light up that board!

{buzz}
{groans from audience}

The blasted blossom and bubble bait. You swapped those two and that's where it ends.

You made it farther than anyone else, but not quite all the way. I hope you had fun anyway, tpirguyMN.

{losing horns start blaring from the studio}

After getting multiple people to the final game last time out, you had a rough time here today. But nobody said it would be easy. It is a gauntlet, after all.  ;-)

So until next, sharpen those skills and try your hand again (if and/or when I get some free time to put another together)

{studio lights turn off}

**********************

*Quick Notes

- Big thanks again to everyone who joined and responded so quickly, makes it a lot easier to get things done in a timely manner and hopefully makes it fun to follow along for you guys

- Honestly this was meant to be the easiest of the three gauntlets I put together from a setup standpoint, with games 3 and 4 being the hardest. I'd say it basically went to plan, a few losses at each game until no one was left.

- I have no idea when I'll have time to do another, but if it always takes about a week, might be sooner rather than later
