Click on "Attachments and other options" just below the window where you type your text. Note this isn't available in all fora (e.g. you can't attach a picture in this forum, but you can in The Talk is Right.)

I saw that and tried in Talk... but only options are checkboxes for Notify me of replies, Don't use smileys and Return to this topic

But I do see in recaps forum...Maybe Talk it isn't available as well or an admin setting changed?

I don't know if you even can attach images but I know you can host an image somewhere and just copy/paste your image url, highlight it, then click the insert image button below the bold button, it'll put image tags around it. Like so.

The actual retail price is...

That might be a moderator/admin only function. I've never seen such a functionality on this site as a regular member.

I have the option to add a picture when I post in The Talk is Right, and I am not an administrator or moderator. Maybe it's dependent on how long you've been a member and/or how many posts you've made.

I think the original post meant for uploading a file to the site. I've been posting for a while, and I don't have that option. Perhaps it is limited to site staff.

Can others try this and report back?  Try in both the "Talk" forum and the "Recaps" forum

For me, I have the attachment option in Recaps, but not Talk

This forum software was designed in 2006 before image hosting was cheap and an expected feature of social media. I vastly prefer to host images on external sites. It’s easier and more reliable, doesn’t add to golden-road.net’s file limit, and can show the full image in line with the text instead of as a thumbnail attachment.

I usually visit https://imgur.com/upload and upload my image, then copy the link with the [img] tags like GameShowFan1987 has shown.
