It's been twelve years. Apparently all that needs to happen is for me to randomly visit this site and see that Host Your Own and GRECO are back up and running, and I get the urge to host again.
Episode 21 is here! This one will be very different from my previous shows. Here are the rules:
1. You do not have to sign up to participate, and you can play as many, or as few, times as you want. You can also start playing after the show has begun. However, I will keep track of everyone's winnings, so full participation is encouraged!
2. There will be no set schedule because my own work schedule is very erratic. However, there will be at least a 24-hour period (and sometimes 48 hours) for responses.
3. Everyone will be able to play the pricing games, with exceptions for two games (see rule #4). Similar to 123123123’s shows, once the game is posted, everyone will submit their answers in this thread. Sometimes there will be a second (or more) decision(s) to be made as a result of the result of the first one(s), for which either you will have to make another post, or I will PM you for your decision.
4. In two games, it will only be possible for one person to play. When this is the case, there will be a one-bid round, with the winner playing the game. (Imagine, for example, 10 people trying to play 3 Strikes at the same time!) Everyone else who bids will get credit for the dollar amount they bid, so long as they did not go over.
- In the bidding round, players may not bid less than $15 more than another player. For example, if someone bids $700, no one else may bid between $701 and $714 (however, a bid of $699 or below would be valid). Make sure to check everyone else's bids before coming up with yours.
5. There will be a Showcase round to declare a winner. The two players who move on to the Showcases will be: 1) The player with the most winnings (including IUFB's and single-player games), and 2) the player who has won the most pricing games, excluding single-player games. If there is a tie for the second player, it will be broken by whoever has the most winnings, also excluding single-player games. In order to qualify for the Showcases, you must play or bid at least three times.
Although you do not have to officially sign up, please post here if you plan on playing so I can gauge how much interest there is. If you have any questions please post them here as well.
The show will begin this Friday night, February 7th. Have fun!
