While the Eagles held on for the win, Jalen Carter got ejected for spitting on Dak Prescott. It's unclear whether if this will result in a suspension for the next game(s), and if so, how long will he be out if he gets suspended.

Jalen Carter sets a record for fastest ejection of the season, spitting in Dak Prescott's face during an injury timeout six seconds into the game.
Carter has since apologized for what he did. He could be facing a healthy fine.

More doubtful than probable that he gets suspended.  The guy missed an entire game.  Of course his history isn't favorable so maybe he does miss time.  If so it might be team-issued discipline.  Either he definitely will be fined

The Buffalo Bills are the first NFL team to overcome a 15+ point deficit in the final four minutes and win in regulation. Final score was 41-40.

Atlanta Falcons K Younghoe Koo's field goal attempt to tie the game with Tampa Bay with :02 left in the game drifted wide right, giving the Bucs a 23-20 victory and sole possession of first in the NFC South as Carolina and New Orleans also lost.

I'm not sure what JJ McCarthy did on Monday tops what Josh Allen did.  However, if one were to say that his performance was better, I'd respect it.  You're not finding anybody else that scored 3 TDs in the final regulation quarter in one's NFL debut

Jalen Carter was fined a game's pay (or $57,222) but will face no other penalty other than his ejection from the Eagles-Cowboys game.

A rather comfortable win for Green Bay over Washington.  Following a 27-18 victory, the Packers are on the road for most of their games over the next six weeks

Atlanta 22, Minnesota 6. Younghoe Koo sat as K John Romo, who played four games with the Vikings last year and was signed to the Falcons practice squad, filled in and was 5-5 kicking FGs. Falcons QB Michael Penix III had a TD pass; he was sacked three times but has not thrown an interception yet this season.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow will be having surgery for turf toe sustained in the Jacksonville game yesterday and will be out three months.

The 3 month absence is actually the best-case scenario.

As for that division overall, the AFC North is one Lamar Jackson injury away from being wide open.  Unless that happens, that once competitive division is Baltimore's to lose, period.  The Raven's QB has had his fair share of injuries, but nothing serious in quite a long time, so that's good.  Even if the 2-time league MVP were to miss time, if most of the roster stays healthy including & especially Derrick Henry, we should have our first 3-peat within that division since 2002.

For what it's worth, here are what my predictions were entering the season (before the Micah Parsons trade):

Carolina 30, Atlanta 0. The way the Falcons played (Penix with two picks, Romo 0-2 on FG attempts, porous receiving, shoddy play call), it was hard to tell whether Fox or Cartoon Network was airing it. Kirk Cousins came in to replace Penix late but he was not very effective.

I suppose there's a chance Comedy Central aired that game.

Meanwhile, despite Sunday Night Football, Kansas City isn't as scary as they've been over the past 7 years.  To be fair, it's a long season & getting into the playoffs is all that would matter if they improved going forward.  Doesn't help with them looking forward to Baltimore when they're going to be hosting them again with extra rest.

It was worthy of getting riffed on MST3K.

Sunday morning football this week: toe meets leather in Dublin, Ireland as Minnesota faces Pittsburgh at 9 AM ET on NFL Network. Meanwhile, Atlanta hosts Washington on CBS and it will be interesting to see who starts at QB. Washington is a 2-1/2 point pick.
