Patricia needed to look at the audience to figure out whether to spin again on a 15. I think that, in a nutshell, is the biggest problem I have with the show today.

CoG: Nice win!
Temptation: I would've took the prizes too, since 2 of the numbers were right.
Plinko: Amazing win! 2 chips in the middle!
SCSD1: I feel bad for Sam, getting 2 numbers less than 50 and being close to the dollar once.
DtM: What?! $3,599 for the Hockey set?! I would've lost too.
LeR: 2 good rolls! Congrats on the car win+!
Balance: That was a tough loss there.
SCSD2: I feel terrible for Sherri, getting the 2 lowest amounts.
Showcases: I am DONE with these almost-DSW and $--,000 bids! They're starting to irritate me. We'd have seen a lot of DSWs had people learned about the $--,251 trick. I don't think we'll get a DSW in 2025, because you NEVER will if your bid ends in $--,000.

I think you & I have the same or similar thoughts on the show today.  For the most part; while a nice DSW is great to see, I honestly do not think it's a super big deal.  JMO, but at the very least, I don't think most of the contestants care about winning both.  Sure they might prefer their opponents showcase, but the focus is their own showcase.

One thing I'll bet on is that they don't know or are bothered about -251.  In a show where people look to the audience within a timed game, and where they might do the opposite in 10 Chances, I doubt they are aware of that detail.  As mentioned, pondering over 15 doesn't give me hope that many know the tricks within TPIR

We. are. not. the. casual. viewer. We don't make up the majority of viewers or contestants. We don't have databases in our heads of boats with smartphone engine monitoring systems or that this trip to Vietnam costs $1500 more than this one.

Not everyone is gonna know -250 or -251 or -447 or any other trick we've come up with over the years. Not everyone is us.

and...251 wouldn't have made a difference in terms of DSW...still more than $250 difference...

I am actually only up to pinko right now but I am pretty sure we have a showcase it ended in 000 within the last two weeks. (it was either 29,000 or 30,000.) I was almost going to point that out over when I watched episode but then I thought maybe that would just has gone away set I only heard of the trick in the last month. (with the new history and dictionary section)

Wrong. Drew did make it seem like that for a moment but it had a -3xx ending.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...
