One of the best main games of the season. Over $20,000, in round 1 thanks to the $2,500 space. Over $10,000 in round 2, thanks to the Mystery Wedge. Over $10,000 in round 3, thanks to the Prize Puzzle. And. $10,000 thanks to the Triple Toss Up sweep. Over $66,000 won in the main game. And a new Mustang thanks to a mind blowing bonus puzzle solve. Giving the winning couple over $102,000 and over $111,000 for the show.

Perfect Bonus Round Week incoming? I think we got the one impossible puzzle out of the way.

The yellow team absolutely earned every penny of that total today.

Tonight's show was brought to you by the word BORING. All 3 main game puzzles solved with NO money. An almost triple toss up sweep. Even the $50,000 won in the bonus round was not enough to make the show exciting.

I guess today's main game would've been the more appropriate time to debut the category Small Talk than Wednesday then, if we're gonna think about small totals...or soon enough, small bandwidth limits. :P

Anyway, no Bonus Round win on Thursday, but thinking about the bonus puzzles this week, it was probably set up for 4/5 anyway (with Wednesday as the intended loss).

Today's bonus puzzle is just more proof that it helps to talk it out. Between the two, Evan got the last word to WORKING ON MY CRAFT, and Winter figured out the first one. Put it together, and they can take an extra $25K each.

Obviously though, Wednesday was the highlight of the week with the 6-digit grand total and the impressive bonus puzzle solve.

A pair of new categories this week, Meet & Greet and Working Out. There will most likely be a third later in the week.

Speaking of working out, things certainly worked out in the main game for contestant John. He made it interesting by starting with a house minimum and Million-Dollar Wedge solve in Round 1, but working his way up to a full Express ride with the Trip Puzzle. Aside from that, things also worked out for contestant Amber in the Triple Toss-Up round.

Of course, the word JOB had to show up again in the Bonus Round, so John was lucky it wasn't the million today.

Finishing the week with a more competitive main game. Contestant Joey takes the $2,000 Toss-Up and Rounds 1 and 2, while contestant Emi took the $1,000 Toss-Up and filled in the Round 3 puzzle by herself for plenty of cash and a trip to take the lead. Then Joey sweeps the Triple Toss-Up and finishes with a quick Speed-Up solve in a come-from-behind win!

But as sometimes happens in these competitive games, this one ends with a gooseegg for contestant Debbie. :(

It’s unfortunate we had a skunked week this week.   In my honest opinion, the toughest puzzles of the week were these:

Tuesday’s THING: A PERK OF THE JOB
Wednesday’s WHAT ARE YOU DOING: GOING BACKPACKING

Great bonus round win with $50,000. Nate will be hating himself every time he sees a Milky Way candy bar.

And another contestant talks it out in the Bonus Round and wins! Revealing the P's in A FIXER-UPPER was enough for contestant Logan to figure it out.

Today's sixth show is from the aforementioned couples week.

But man, Price wasn't the only difficult watch today. We had a missolve for the Trip Puzzle ENJOYING AN INCREDIBLE MEAL, with the blue team saying YEAR for the last word.

The Show Biz Triple Toss-Up was funny, with the puzzles LIGHTS! and CAMERA! ...and then LUNCH! to finish off. The yellows realized the last word wasn't the obvious after the first two, but it ended with a Triple Stumper and spoiled a $10K sweep. Also, since the blues couldn't get that one or the Speed-Up, they ended up gooseegging.

And to end it, a $100,000 loss. The reds probably could've gotten FANCY THAT if they picked the common A to go with their C and H. :(

Just like today's PRICE, tonight's show was brought to you by the word HELL. Only $21,109 was given away. Raul's "nervousness" made it worse when he spun, when he should've solved the 1st round puzzle. A bad way to start off their "returning player's" gimmick for the month.

All the more reason to bring contestants back!

Yes, starting this week, and continuing until the beginning of May, Wheel is bringing back the returning champions format. We'll finally get to see how things turn out in the Toss-Up era!

I guess the new category Americana could've gotten off to a better start. That was the category to the aforementioned Round 1, and yes, the answer THE STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER should've been obvious by that point (though we'll never know if a "good" spin would've been followed by a bad letter call).

The moment Raul opened his mouth and repeated a vowel in the Prize Puzzle round, he kissed his chance for day 3 goodbye. A big improvement in winnings, unfortunately we are 0 out of 2 in the bonus round.

The Monday puzzle was tough.   I managed to get it with very little time left.

Today’s puzzle was a monster trap between A WOMAN DYNAMO or A HUMAN DYNAMO.

Right now, I feel like the angry caterpillar from "Super Mario World". This "returning champion" event has so far been nothing but a dam joke. Every time someone has a chance to make it to day 3, they "choke". It's not what we expected. 0 out of 4 in the bonus round so far.
