1233: It seems we have 7 excited hopefuls looking for success as the actual show enters its 54th year!

It's always easier said than done, though. So let's get under way at the Numbers studio!

{cheers and applause}

As a quick reminder to all how things work with our limited staff today, you'll have 24-48 hours to respond to the game at hand.

Win the game, on you go. Lose the game, on you go...out the studio.  :-) (You can still play for fun, of course)

With all the admin out of the way, time to hear about the first prize of the day. Mr. Announcer?

Announcer: This crowd seems a bit too energetic, like we hopped them up on Pixie Stix and Mello Yello before taping. Let's tire them out a bit by giving away...

{door 3 opens}

...a new home gym!!!

What better way to work on your too-late-for-summer summer bod than this home fitness system? This set up includes three separate workout stations, dual 210 lb alloy steel weight stacks, high density comfort pads and protective weight shrouds for safety!! There it is, 123!!

{claps from contestants}

1233: Now, to double down on my announcer's attempt to tire you all out, you guys are all going to have to "run" Bonkers.

All four of these digits are wrong, I just need you to place the paddles to show whether the actual number is higher or lower than you think.

For some reason, using a timer here seemed wrong. So a formula had to be created to figure out just how many chances you would get to figure out this puzzle.

So taking into account 20 years of experimental data of Bonkers playing, the overall physical health of our contestants today, the mood of the producer when setting up the game and the fact that there isn't a audience to distract you, the formula spit out...

{ding}

...6 cracks at it. Don't ask to see the math, just trust me on this.  :-)

So now everyone listed above (and any stragglers who want to join in), please give me 6 guesses for the paddle placement. You will have until Friday afternoon around 5pm EST

And one last thing, going for perfection doesn't mean you can't have a little flair while doing it, so any player who wins the game with their first guess will earn a bonus that could help them in a later game!

{hoots and hollers from players}

With all of that, get over there and go bonkers!!

{players start to run over to board}

LHLH, LHLL, LHHH, LHHL, LLLH, LLHL in that order
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

{geniusinmath confidently places paddles for initial guess, walks over to button}

1233: Looks like as good of a guess as any.

{takes one more look at the board, slams down buzzer}

{ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding}

Looks like I need to have a bit more confidence in you guys, who needs 6 guesses when some of you can do it in 1?

{cheers from players as board is revealed}

Everyone eventually got the paddles placed correctly, and we had both Nate Powalie and geniusinmath get it on their first tries.

Great start for all, now let's keep it going for the next game, coming up after this line break!

{all standing next to RGC}

1233: 1 game down, 5 to go. I have a feeling this one will be a bit special. Mr. Announcer, if you'd please?

Announcer: Aww man, I'm not usually this excited to announce anything here, but I'm downright giddy now.

It's because you all have the chance to win the Lion's Share of $500,000, sponsored by...

{confused stunned silence from players}

1233: Too soon? It's too soon. I knew a sponsored game would need some time to cook.

We'll aim to do better moving forward at the Numbers studio. In the meantime, what about we show off the actual prize you guys will be playing for.

Announcer: Winning half a million here doesn't entice you? Then let's send you on a party trip to Las Vegas!!

You and 7 of your favorite hooligans will fly round trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, where you will stay 6 nights in an executive 2 queen suite at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino and be able to enjoy all the highs and lows the strip has to offer. We have also included a $250 casino credit for each guest, courtesy of MGM. This is a wonderful trip worth $14,305!!

(considerably more cheers from players}

1233: Like I said, we'll do better than a sponsored pricing game. We stick to sponsoring everything but the game :-)

Since mountain climbers are hard to draw in Paint, if you can simply keep yourself from falling of the edge of the cliff in Cliff Hangers, you'll be on you way to Vegas and one step closer to a perfect show.

Today's game includes what, Mr. Announcer?

Announcer: First, this 4 pc stainless steel serving spoon set includes both slotted and solid spoons, all of which have a gold plated titanium finish

Next, this 170 page film script of the Lion King has a protective hardcover and makes for a great addition to any library

And finally, this 300 chip poker set comes with 5 different colored chips, 5 dice, 2 decks of cards and a convenient carrying case

1233: Ok, now please give me your guesses for all 3 SPs at once. You will have until Tuesday afternoon. Best of luck!
