I don't have a ton of information other than the contestant and an event that happened. It is for a dear friend of ours who recently celebrated her 97th birthday. In the fall of 1992 she was on the show, made it down to contestant's row, had a successful bid, and then when she was at the wheel, after spinning she didn't want to cross in front of Bob, so she went behind the wheel where Bob had to politely escort her out. He may have made some joke about the young and the restless as he often does.
her name is Pearl and I think it would be awesome to somehow find this to watch it with her and her daughter. I know this is rather a shot in the dark as I've checked various episode guides without finding the right episode
